TRICKSTER: Edogawa Rampo "Shounen Tantei-dan" yori EP 1 “Mirage on D. Hill”

Having seen Game of Laplace this was easy to understand from the start! Not bad at all

Episode 2

It turns out that having somebody who can't die came in handy. Kobayashi's empty stomach made him gobble down some grub on impulse, grub that happens to be poisoned as some lady was trying to kill with that poison. That was a solid episode there as it goes to show that Kobayashi has some usefulness in him as not being able to die was the difference in this

Zzzzz boring.

I'll be honest, the case was pretty predictable from the start. Meiko's body movements showed that she was up to something and her explanation didn't add up from the start.

The case itself wasn't interesting imo. Boring episode.

Oh and they also insert comedy

First Ranpo Kitan now Trikster...I don't understand if these anime studios are unable to animate a Ranpo work or it is just that boring and makes you question why are you even watching it.
I love mistery stories; but it seems like this author just isn't for me. I'll keep watching it while doing house works I guess.

I'm sad. I still like immortal boy a lot, but this is exactly the sort of mystery/detective genre that bores me every time. First episode had enough weirdness that I thought there might be enough of a twist or extra layer that would make this different, but nope. Immortal Boy gimmick is probably not going to be enough when everything else is standard *yawn* whodunnit.

It does the job when I need something to watch when I'm a little bored.

What's this? A guy who wants to die but can't do that no matter what he does? That's all i knew when i heard about this for the first time. Yet there's so much more.

So far, it's been enjoyable while at the same time, interesting. I mean that guy who can't die-concept. I wonder if he achieves that if he so desires.

Also, that OP... so epic!

Episode 3

And now it's another case with the only real story being that Kobayashi has moved in to live with Akechi and Hanasaki. It starts out as finding Nemoto, an Olympic kayaker who had become a NEET. But that case turns into a bigger one when Hanasaki learns that there's a place where NEETs can live in peace not knowing that they are there to have their organs sold on the black market led by Kyoumoto. Hanasaki is right on top of things and saves the day seeing that those NEETs are unaware of what evil scheme Kyoumoto had been up to. Well, that was less boring than last week's case, but still not getting me into the show.

The whole case and episode was boring from the start (although less predictable imo compared to the last one)

Also, I feel like they are finally building up for a legitimate threat for the Akechi of the Boys' Detective Team? I mean this guy right here..

I actually find this show somewhat enjoyable and intriguing (I also enjoyed Game of Laplace, so perhaps that is part of it). I'm really interested to see how the relationship between Hanasaki and Kobayashi develops and what's it potential relationship is to Akechi and Twenty Face's characters. The episodes so far seem mainly like mystery of the week type shows, but hopefully it picks up here soon once Fiend with Twenty Faces becomes a major player.

TRICKSTER: Edogawa Rampo "Shounen Tantei-dan" yori EP 3 “The Hopeless on the Tower” EOW

I really like this anime / Zany cast / action / mystery . Ranpo has crayed so much homage to his stories especially the Boys Detective Club

The Ed song is so good ! "1Hope Sniper", is performed by Azusa Tadokoro. / Detective Nao Nakamura in the anime

Looks like 20 Faces coming back !
