The music is partly more expensive than the anime content. 2 songs per show (at least) would make the whole thing a lot more expensive for everyone. Not just for us, but also our customers, as we'd have to hand these costs on to them.

So the price would go up but we'd be paying for a product that wasn't incomplete. (subtitles with missing subtitles can't be anything other than incomplete, by definition)

Personally, I fail to see a problem with this. I know some people don't care about the lack of subtitled themes but for me it actually takes me out of the moment. Which is precisely the wrong thing to happen during the opening credits.

In my case it'd probably lead me to actually watching CR more. The OP would get me into more of a watching mood instead of less, meaning I'd watch more, meaning I'd possible even be getting better value for money.

I still think it is BS that you need a license for a translation.

It's a copy, not an original work.

Sure, i've been wondering why OP's and ED's are not subbed and now i got my answer. So messed up but i understand that there are reasons for that.

Oh let's not mistake me.

I fully understand the reasons.

I just don't agree with them, just like I don't agree with current intellectual rights laws, including but not limited to patens, copyright, trademark, etc.

But again, this gets back into my comment about opening a can of worms.

It's very easy to explain, say they do translate the songs. they are a company many people see these translations, but oh no its not to the artists liking! problems emerge. the end. xd translations made by such a big following become "official" would you be happy if 4kids was still a thing and translated ALL anime openings. !Kodomo bappu 1+
