Octorockandroll warns of exact same thing happening in Pope's teachings

Also:

Pope Francis reaffirmed his disagreement with teaching gender identity in schools on Sunday, after earlier calling it a "war against marriage"

Transgender= marriage?

I think you're getting your lgbt prejudices mixed up there, Franky.

Shining eyes, burning brightly in their fervor. That is what The Pope will have to face in this.

Uh, I'm pretty sure the people who want to ban sex ed from schools are the ones who /don't/ want to have gender identity be discussed in classes.

I think (generally) the people who want schools to teach gender identity also want schools to teach sex ed, and vice versa. Right?

Oh lol. Eh, then I agree with that part of it. I don't see the necessity to make gender identity a class.

I agree that it shouldn't be an entire class, but I don't think that's what's being proposed. In my high school we talked about gender identity for one portion of one class in my health course. We learned the facts, got the details and that was it. I see no issue with that, if that is indeed what the pope is responding to.

Hmm. Well, now that I think deeper into it, it probably isn't such a bad idea. Thatta way, it won't be necessary to go to the internet for assistance. It would still be a mixed bag, though. We are talking about school here like high school. I don't think even sex ed. is really taken very seriously in the majority of high schools.
