This is the first time I've created a post on here, but I feel as though my concern was big enough for me to get reassurance from everybody else.

ARE ALL SIMULCASTS REALLY JUST BL AND SHOUJO ROMANCE?!?

I live off of romance comedies. I absolutely love them.

Is there any anime that I've overlooked?

I've been rewatching every single romcom I've ever seen for the past few months, being super excited for the fall lineup to contain at LEAST one romcom anime.

Please don't tell me my Crunchyroll and Funimation subs are going to waste this season.

Let me get out my violin and play you a sad song. I've had to deal with seasons full of romance and harem shows in the past, yet you didn't see me whine about it.

Gee, thanks for your feedback! I never knew that on several occasions, every simulcast show were rom coms!

Holy smokes! Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my question, with a comment that says I'm whining, followed by you, yourself whining about previous seasons!

Its called sarcasm. Something you could learn while you take time away from CR because boo hoo..you don't like the shows it's going to air.

Why are you even responding still? Why did you even respond in the first place? If there's anything that you need to talk about, I'm here for you. Are you having a bad day, and you just felt the need to contribute nothing to a thread regarding a question about my preferences? Perhaps you decide to flock to the 'I was joking', and 'It's sarcasm' defense when called out on obvious hypocrisy?

Grow up.

I'm personally super hyped for Hibike Euphonium (Slice of Life) and interested in March Comes in Like a Lion (Sports drama). I'll probably also check out Natsume Yujin-cho, My Wife is the Student Council President, Gundam, Wagnaria, Bungo Stray Dogs and maybe Show by Rock once I check out their other seasons.

So for me, it looks like a pretty solid season. I never really do research on what is coming out to know what to be hyped for, but it looks like theres a lot of sequels to solid shows as a good starting point and I'll see what people recommend from there.

I'll admit that nothing on CR this season is really leaping out at me, however I still have a large back catalog of titles I need to work my way through. Plus they finally added Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (which I've still never gotten around to watching and is 60 some episodes). So, I'll manage even if none of the simulcasts end up catching my eye.

If this is your first simulcast drought on CR I can sympathize, but I'd say you've actually been pretty lucky up to this point.

There's a lot of shows which aren't BL or shoujo romance, even if they do look like BL or shoujo on the surface. There aren't any actual BL shows on the fall lineup, now that I think of it.

What sort of romantic comedy are you looking for, @Cotroneo? Just any old one?

"I've Always Liked You" was meant to debut around about now, so I think that may do you some good once it does.

There are no BL titles this season and there are many animes with romance and comedy in it. Maybe you should look through the announcements again.

I actually already looked at 'I've always liked you', and is likely the one that I'll end up watching.

The anime I like is generally cheesy romance comedy, but I also like ones with humour, too. I don't like ones where nothing progresses, but I've seen virtually every romance comedy that I can think of. I do like action anime, as well. The entire Hajime no Ippo series, Rurouni Kenshin, as well as Gate are my 3 favourite action anime of all time (not including the obligatory favourite, Dragon Ball).

My favourite romance anime is definitely Toradora, and I loved Zero no Tsukaima, but one that really stood out to me, and on that I've considered reading the manga of (I hate manga instead of anime) is The World God Only Knows. I like anime that has some sort of ending to it where it's not begging for a season renewal with a cliffhanger.

I recently decided to give Full Metal Panic! a go, even though the first two times I got bored almost instantly. I realized that after thinking that GTO was just going to be a wacky, nothing anime based on the plot that's given as well as the first part of the first episode, I know I should at least give some shows chances.

I unfortunately thought that Your Lie in April was going to be a romantic comedy, but even though it wasn't, I still stuck to it and cried harder than I've ever cried in any anime before. I cry a lot in anime, but holy shit that anime was good.

I hate shoujo anime, and I feel even worse when I say that I always prefer a male lead. It seems like some sort of sexist preference, but when I think of why I prefer it that way, I guess it's because I can put myself more in the situation that the male is in.

I watched a bit of FMA back when it was on YTV (Canadian equivalent of Cartoon Network) but just remember how f***ed up the chimera was, and how sad it was.

I need to watch Brotherhood, too, and try and find a bunch of other anime I've been meaning to watch.

Reading my OP over, it makes it seem as though I strictly watch rom coms, but they're just my absolute favourite. I watch action and adventure anime, too. I tend to stay away from shounen anime, though.

As for the simulcast drought, I've been on CR for like 2.5 years now, but have been anime from years before. So basically, a few months ago I finally ran dry of anime I'd like to watch, and have started rewatching anime from when I first started watching rom com anime, since 10 years should be enough time for some anime to feel 'new'.

I forgot that 'All simulcasts' means just Crunchyroll. My bad.

I recommend reporting your own thread and asking the mods to close it. I get the feeling that this thread was originally meant to as more of a quick venting than anything else. If nothing else, a restart will allow you to clear up several stark problems that you've made, regarding your thread title and OP. Your thread title is erroneous in nature, your opening line in the OP literally states that you expect reassurance over a fall line-up, and then you've emboldened an incorrect statement in bright red. The end result is that your OP makes it sound like you, dare I say it, are whining, that you are pushing a faulty premise of what the Fall line-up is, and that (as you've pointed out) you only watch romantic comedies.

When it comes to thread-making, it's best to sit down and really plan what you want the thread to be like. The title and OP are critical in setting the mood, so anticipating how people will react to them is dire, and any blunders will be magnified in people's responses.

At the very least, you should edit your OP. Very, very few people will pay much attention, if at all, to anything other than the OP. Most will not see or even care that you've corrected yourself and have clarified in following posts. As it stands, you'll probably end up repeatedly doing damage control.

well tbh, there really are no BL titles airing this season (except for gakuen handsome but... it's more like a parody of BL than an actual BL show). fujobait shows yes, quite a bunch, but no BL. also the only shoujo shows airing this season are natsume yuujinchou go (which has no romance) and watashi ga motete dousunda.

but yeah, there really are not many romantic comedies either (only some sequels), at least of the shounen type. not that it matters to me tho, it's not my favourite genre or anything. there are a few reverse harems tho.

but i think this season's looking pretty damn good! there are so many shows that look very interesting, at least in terms of visuals. actually, this season might even become my favourite of the year!
