I know it's silly, but I'm still holding onto the idea that Atsushi and Akutagawa will form some sort of frenemy relationship that Dazai and Chuuya have. I know the latter was formed due to their time spent together in the past as comrades, but Fitzgerald isn't going to go down if Atsushi and Akutagawa want to have their pissing match.

Not enough Kyouka .

Kyouka locked up....this girl just never gets a break.

Atsushi still comes up short against the Guild. It's like their power gap is just too far apart. The mind games played this episode was rather thrilling. Ryuunosuke still impresses me in this show as one of the most intimidating characters. His expressions of envy towards Atsusi was quite intense and the part where he briefly teams up with Atsushi was rather entertaining imo.

One more episode left...damn.

I'd really like to know just what made Akutagawa so desperate to have acknowledgement from Dazai. Or if it's because of Dazai's behavior of getting Akutagawa's hopes up and then shutting him down, what makes Dazai continually do that? Though Dazai being Dazai, I guess he could just like messing with Akutagawa .

Also, in real life, Zelda Fitzgerald had schizophrenia and had to be hospitalized which seems to be the inspiration for Fitzgerald's breakdown in the show. Their daughter Frances actually lived into her 60's, though.

Welp, we finally get to see Atsushi and Akutagawa together. No surprise that the encounter didn't turn out as peaceful.

Next episode is about defeating the Super Saiyan.

Awh man, can't believe we're close to the finale.

Between the whisker marks, the right hand/left hand thing, the super saiyan-level villain, and the friendship/willpower vs. power/despair, this episode strongly reminded me of Naruto and Sasuke fighting Madara.

BUNGO STRAY DOGS 2 EP 23 "Rashōmon, the Tiger and the Last Emperor"

This EP could been great ""IMO"" but what is a bad habit of anime long drawn out dialouges / ideals fpr 5 min wrth of action .The ship if it falls will be devasting yet talk talk talk . It 's a shame because it was going so good the flow 3/ 4 of the way through the season

I wish Akutagawa got less focus. The guy is honestly the most underwhelming of the Port Mafia gang, or nearly the whole cast. Personally, I'd rather have Atsushi onscreen more often, even though I'm not his biggest fan either. Akuta just seems like a cheaper copy of Atsushi, given their similarity in some aspects (minus Atsushi being less annoying) that's not a far reach. Either way, the guys design reminds me of the bland, unstriking, bore that was Izaya Orihara and his personality makes me want to brawl with some brick walls.

Francis is a hot badass, nothing less expected from him. That splendor and money spending sure seems to get him somewhere, literally being his ability. Now this is the guy I've been waiting for. Pity him and Mori don't get more deserved screentime, as they are among the more interesting of the 'supporting' male cast that's been heading from behind the scenes this season.

Maybe I'm just a sucker for older, screwed up villainous types.

Series' Finale

Wow so intense. Atsushi pretty much threw everything in his attack this episode.

Kyouka is such a brave girl imo, even if it means trying to stop the Moby Dick herself. Really glad to see that she survived and reunited with Atsushi though. What a hero. Really glad to see her join the Armed Detective Agency team along with her new friends.

Obviously, they didn't defeat the Guild altogether. The manga continues from here so the series isn't a complete adaptation. Still was quite an interesting season with the Dazai background storytelling from the first few episodes and later to the conflict with Port Mafia and Guild. There's still an OVA that I also look forward to seeing in the future.

8/10.

So this...

I love that Dazai predicted things all the way to the end, even instigating Akutagwa's involvement. Though he kind of broke Akutagawa with his praise. I'm glad we finally got to know what the "All men are created equal" power does as well.

Overall, loved this season. It utilized all of the set-up from the first season well. Dazai's backstory was also a big highlight. I liked how they tied it in at the very end.

Kyouka-chan acting all dere with her blushing and misty eyes, total fan service just for me, i love it. It felt really rewarding lol especially since she had been getting the boot like all season. I never got tired of the ED it feels so right in the heroes turn the tide portion of the fight scene and at the climaxes and ends of episodes. I know next to nothing about the manga but they left it open for more seasons. Most likely some OVA's at the least, more episodic detective agency work and what not. It felt rushed in some places but nothing to nitpick at. I liked it even more than the first season, hope to see more soon.

So this fun ride comes to an end and almost sad ending becomes a happy one with setup possibly for a 3rd season.

Alot of fun with tons of literary references that are played with.

Recommenced and hope for a 3rd season!
