Most of you guys can't skate, but less play outside.

I would if I could

Not really comfortable with wheels on my feet (i.e., skates, skateboards, or by extension, ice skates).

I hate skateboarders.

Living in Minneapolis, they destroy everything, don't pay attention to signs, they grind everywhere ruining stuff I have to eventually pay for, and even when I'm nice to them and ask them politely not to skateboard on my patio, they swear at me until the cops show up. Then, of course, they aren't so tough.

Why do I have to call the cops? I don't want to call the cops. I mean, I get it. I was young. I wasn't disrespectful to older people, but I was rebellious, so I get that part. But I put signs up. Grinding destroys my property. At least wait until I'm dead.

For all the skateboarders here: if someone asks you nicely not to skateboard in a spot where there are signs up telling you not to skateboard... instead of being rude, why not just thank them for not calling the cops, wave, and leave politely.

It's that so difficult?

I'm sorry that you've had trouble with skaters in the past, the ones you have met sound like ass hats. That being said, I don't think you should stereotype ALL skaters as rude based on your experiences with just a few. Some skaters are rude, but some are also polite, some skate where they shouldn't, others will stick to skate parks. The hobby/activity doesn't define the person, the personality does.

I snowboard. Skateboarding isn't really as popular here seeing at it's pretty much perpetual winter.
