Gion once again moves the team forward by being impulsive and proactive. It's kind of sad that they receive no support from their advisor, who might as well not even exist.

Also, Shingo is Gilliam.

I like the coach. Surprising that they haven't had one to actually guide them the right way. I like that though. He's a great addition and now they learn to use their heads rather than their muscle

Using the coach to describe some mechanics of rugby along with providing insight on how weak the team is was something All Out needed.

I would like to get a little more out of the coach/adviser, though. What was he like in the past and why teach a small team?

Well, he said he didn't have anything better to do after 'retiring' from the national rugby team. Though he watched the team for 2 weeks, like a ninja, before revealing himself.

Maybe he just didn't want to see a bunch of coulda-beens become never-wases.

Not everyone can reach their peak without training/being self taught, and it was made clear this episode. Time to go back to basics and work as a team.

Frankly, it is closer to being 'no one' can reach their peak through self-taught methods. Training, discipline, and teamwork are required to succeed.

Their problems are rooted, really, in that their "advisor" hasn't been involved in over three years. They haven't received training, discipline, and teamwork because they're trying to bail out their rowboat in a hurricane.

I need you to try one more episode and tell me who the VA is for new coach. I like his timing and style please senpai

lol I tried rewatching it ...im tolerating the character design...somewhat, it was good to hear Hosoya's softer voice

anyway Komori san is Hashi Takaya

He actually voiced Snape in Harry Potter japanese ADR, he seem to voice a lot of older/mature bad guys lol but I think I noticed him Jormungand

I'm starting to like Ebumi more and more now. He may have the bad boy attitude but he's also pretty determined at what he does.

His past is a bit shady though and obviously gives off that delinquent vibe. However, I like how aggressive play style. If only he got along a bit better with his teammates though. The coach is still pretty strict although I think it's necessary for the team.

Can the coach really be 'too strict' with this team? That conversation with Ebumi and Matsu shows that the sports club has a history of being slack. That takes effort to end.

This is a face of a man who wants to only win. I can appreciate that.

Episode 7

Tbh, I think the episode should make Gion realize that rugby isn't just about tackling.

The essence of teamwork is very important. Pacing wise, I think the show is working so far. When the coach blamed Gion for the reason their team is losing, I think it was just a way to get him to realize his mistakes rather than humiliating him. The coach has a lot of more experience and facts speaks for themselves by what he said about Gion's progress. Gion has to expand his ability beyond just tackling and work for the TEAM rather than himself.

I'm starting to like this coach more and more now.
