Let's say you have a sister and she is gay. She's been hesitating on telling her parents the news but finally manages to tell. Even though she tells you, you are okay with it. When she tells her parents and they are very unhappy and want to disown her. Your sister goes to you crying over what happened. How do you comfort her? Will you confront your parents about it?

Enjoy!!!

It's funny you say this because when my sister was born, she's 10, I told my parents the same thing.
What would you guys do if she's gay?
They just straight up said they're ok with it, at least she won't be with asshole guys

That's nice.

I would definitely try to help her and confront my parents about it. Might not change their opinion but I would not support the decision.

I would support her an talks to my parents about it.
The funny thing is that this fake situation hits close to home. I'm gay and I know that my parents would kick me out. My brother told me that he wouldn't talk to m if I were gay

But what if you did and you were placed in this situation? Try and have fun with this.

I would absolutely comfort them, sit and talk through it, and help any way I could. Some of my best friends are gay/bi/whatever, and it breaks my heart just thinking about someone being rejected by their friends and family because of their sexual orientation. Fortunately, a lot of my friends have very supporting families and have been very lucky, given the conservative area we live in.

If talking to the parents would help, I would try. The most important part, to me, would be making sure my sibling is ok. To anyone going through this, my heart goes out to you.
