Plus, there are "fake nerds' now, like people whom are not nerds trying to be nerdy so it's not a big insult like it was.

lol. Iam just glad that i like "nerdy" and "non nerdy" things. Good to be open minded. Even though i perhaps have an identity crisis

I guess there aren't really fake "nerds" but it's kind of cool to be geeky now. Like girls try and act like they're so geeky and people even wear glasses with no lenses/they dont actually wear or need glasses to see and etc.
Plus there's alot of money in it for some girls now. But times have changed and people who are not actual "nerds" by that i mean the old nerd or stero typical nerd as in someone with no social skills or is unattractive or just non athletic or unco and lame or etc are into "nerdy" or more so so called "geeky" things now.
By that i mean very attractive males and females could be considered nerds now, unlike in the past.

Side note, i remember once me and my mates were LAN'ing and a girl came over was was like *cough* nerds.

Yeah, when I was six or something. Eventually I grew up and came to appreciate nerds and befriended most of them. I had been a bit of a jerk as a young child and when I hit middle school I'd had enough of being a douchebag and I'd had enough of all the bullies, cool kids, dipsh#ts, etc and started just hanging out with nicer people.....most of who were nerds. They make the best friends in school. Most of them are loyal, funny, smart and I have no doubt that all of them are highly successful now whereas the cool kids are still doing exactly what they were doing in high school (most of them any way).

Usually whenever someone gets into a deep convo about something we don't know anything about, or if it's like a certain TV show, or movie, book.

That's when we throw out the nerd comment. For fun obviously, nothing insulting, just to get that quick response. Like we would cut that person off when they talk. It's Pretty Funneh if you pick your moments.

Yeah, but never in serious context. As a matter of fact, I usually use it in oppositely as when it should typically be used.

"Hey, I'm gonna go to the gym."

"Lol nerd."

Erm...No?

And what is the purpose of such a topic on a nerd forum?
