That was awesome.
Again.

Like that there's apparently some good vs evil struggle, yet the nominally good side chose those psychos as pieces.

Episode 2

Drifters feels like a dark J-RPG fantasy.

With the last cutscene involving that easy girl, it sort of gives off the feeling that this is their world and their game. Everything in it is a pawn that acts to change an outcome.

Should be interesting if it goes that route. For now, all we have is badass-ary and bloodshed.

I'm digging this series so far. The animation is really consistent and when coupled with some good angles the visuals are an absolute standout for this season.

The overall story is still way more interesting than the actual characters are, and the art still feels pretty inconsistent quality wise. The OP is really good though, well the combination of music and animation anyway. I can't say the song would grab me outside of seeing it in the context with the animation alongside but the two together work extremely well.

Overall, it's not grabbing me but not totally turning me off either.

This is easily the anime that I'm enjoying the most this season, along with JoJo. It's so nice to get an incredibly violent series that's not censored for once, and thankfully the story is really interesting and one of the most unique ones from this year. But it's also easy to see why some people won't enjoy this show for the rather strange placement of the comedy sections, especially considering how it was handled today, but I don't mind that at all. The animation is great and the artstyle is badass, even with some minor quality drops here and there. Also, I really like how the made a language for the elves, it's a very nice detail.

So I take it Mr. Glasses is using his "heroes" and fighting this Easy chicks "villains"? Using both terms loosely as I'm sure cultures see this figures as one or the other. I love how they appear to be office workers of some sort, but are probably divine beings of some sort. Time lords?

Love the gore and brutal nature.

PS
The trio are badass mofos.

I thought they would let them roam freely a little bit more, instead looks like a big battle is coming already. Can't say there is a good or bad side, even though yellow haired knight killed off some elves, I think it's too soon to label the Octoberfest organization as evil.
This opinion might or might not have been swayed by the fact that their leader is a goth chick instead of a old man with glasses.

I love this show already cause there's this constant narrative in fiction that "People from real world couldn't do nuffin against monsters and stuff"
And that's such a cop-out.
And this anime just comes in like "lol screw that noise, Shimazu Toyohisa will wreck your ass son."

I'm all about this. Hellsing is one of my favorite series ever, and the classic Hirano blend of extreme violence and absurdist humor is in full effect. I love the idea of historical badasses being drawn into another world to do battle, and so far it's been executed quite well. I was already into it, but the show completely had me sold when it portrayed Hannibal Barca and Scipio Africanus in a friggin' fistfight If two of the greatest strategists to ever live become a sort of vitriolic comic relief duo, I really have nothing to complain about now, do I? Hoping to see some warriors of other cultures brought in, I noticed a Zero pilot in the OP, and I thought to myself it'd be badass if someone like the Red Baron showed up. Either way, I trust in Hirano's beautiful insane imagination to keep me thoroughly entertained throughout.

Well that was better than the first episode, I was kind of drifting (ha) away from the show but now it's piqued my interest.

I wasn't too crazy about the first episode, especially because they used two techniques I just don't like but the second episode was way better .
