Hmm. If Suzuko had lost, and her LRIG had taken her place, that would have been the route the first Wixoss would have taken, but she got saved by a lucky circumstance this time, so ... we will see, we will see.

Yikes, Chinatsu has turned into quite ruthless. I wonder, can she become friends with Suzuko again? Can't say for sure.

Oh, and that's something new that if a third person enters a battlefield, the battle's cancelled.

And also, i don't know if it's possible to bring dead back. Sounds odd but would be nice to her.

Episode 7

Shou has a pretty logical way of approaching this game in a pacificistic manner where he only needs to exchange coins with another until the 90 day limit is up, but there's one thing he didn't realize in that each loss means a memory goes away, so Hanna is not on board with the idea. Chinatsu sure does have an evil streak to her, first by having a selector sign a contract after letting her win, and now she says that she wants to throw away memories to get Shou to let his guard down and think she's going to let him win, but she's pulled out all the stops there. Chinatsu just keeps on getting more twisted.

Pretty sure Chinatsu is getting used and she either doesn't care or isn't full aware of it.

Regardless, I think she is getting darker and darker.

Chinatsu is at it again. This time, she seems to become darker person. It's starting to creep me out, especially the faces she makes.

Episode 7

Suzuko wanting to save her friend asks Hana to help her play the game better. At first she declines but is won over after Suzuko agrees to get her desserts for the lessons. Chinatsu still working for the bookmaker battles another selector, and loses on purpose to get her to agree to a contract. The selector not wanting to sign is force to by Chinatsu as she threatens to come after her later if she doesn't sign. Shou on the other hand goes to Hana and Chinatsu to see if they want to help each other until the 90 day limit is over, but Hana points out that it wont work as they wont know what memory they will lose. Chinatsu given the task to go after Shou acts friendly with him and even gets him to battle her. promising to lose to him she goes back on her word and defeats him.

Chinatsu has fallen into darkness even more that she uses any methods to get her way. Even using Shou's feelings for her as an advantage just to get a contract. Suzuko needs to get stronger before it's to late to save her friend.

I still really, really like Chinatsu as a character, even though she's going down a pretty dark road here.

I was pretty surprised they sent Chinatsu down the darkest path. I imagined they would be happy with how things were already feeling heavy, but they seem to be taking her down that "path of no return". I just hope the ending isn't that predictable final showdown that resolves everything. It feels like they need a sweet twist to add to some of the drama, or the ending could be a bit predictable or cheesy. I feel one of the characters is gonna be erased to be honest.

Just when I thought that Bookmaker guy couldn't get any more creepier, he proves me wrong. What a creep.

Episode 8

Hanna's story is revealed while she is mentoring Suzuko in WIXOSS, and what promoted her to become so withdrawn as her brother died in an accident. In the meantime, Shou is totally livid about Chinatsu working for Satomi as Shou is fully suspicious of him. It turns out Satomi is a selector himself and he's the one who eliminated Aya and uses that to get Narumi to lose his will to fight. While that's going on, Hanna battles Koyoi as she's in possession of Akira's old LRIG and loses. Satomi has finally shown his true colors, and man what a disgusting dude he is.

Episode 8

God, this series.

I want to love WIXOSS, I really do. As a matter of fact, if we ever get the card game localized in the U.S, I will be all over that like I am with Magic. But, the anime tends to ruin for me at times with its cynicism.

I will defend, the first series wasn't bad. Although Mari Okada was at her worst for that one, the show wasn't bad. With this one, everything feels worse. The characters are so melodramatic without decent reason.

They feel like they are being cynical all for the sake of just being it. Things happen and it doesn't make me feel anything because of how it is handled and portrayed...

But hey, at least we have card battles and fun character designs, right?! RIGHT?!

Ergh...

Episode 8

The relationship between Suzuko and Hana has grown as they both share memories of losing someone to them. Suzuko losing her mother when she was young and Hana her little brother but doesn't know what happened exactly due to amnesia. This whole time I thought she wanted to get rid of the existence of her little brother, but in fact wants to get the memories of what happened that day. We see more of Shou who meets the bookmaker and after seeing the person he is takes Chinatsu from there. Even after Chinatsu did him dirty last time he still cares for and wants the best for her.

The best part of this episode had to be the three battles. Hana battles Koyoi who weirdly names her LRIG after herself when she was one. Suzuko battles a random girl that challenges her and Narumi battles the bookmaker who reveals that he defeated his sister. The outcome is Suzuko coming out the only one winning and that her training with Hana definitely helped her improve.

A lot of information on the bookmaker was revealed today. It looks like in the next episode Koyoi might reveal to Hana what happened in the first series maybe even mentioning Ru and Tama?? The only thing left to reveal is who is behind the selector battles this time? could it be Mayu once again?

*thinks*

Before, the LRIGs specifically said that Satomi was not a Selector, but I suppose that was because he did not have his own LRIG on him then. Looks like he gets to be the Ulith for this series, though. Makes me wonder if he, in his previous incarnation, was left over from the first series. Wonder why he takes those pills in the morning? Could his human body be dying? ... If so, that condition was probably already in place when he switched over.

Really enjoying this now, wish I had seen more of the other two battles in this episode.
