Lie about heroine addiction, ok cool. Whatever. You don't have to go to a group therapy session. If she doesn't like it then break up, her loss. There and done. Just saying.

Season 2 more or less of Dexter series.

Well i like the series. The character is just too much of a pushover i think. Harry was more hardass when he demanded something.
I'll assume this is to create some tension. Drama series and all. I think Season 3 is gonna be good when Dexter is getting his best buddy, seen some of that before, and he's kinda fun!

You are overlooking that she's part of his "cover" that helps him blend in like a normal guy, and that his going along with this is also part of his cover as a "nice guy."

Yes, as the show goes on we do see more and more melding of his inner "monster" with his "human" facade -- that's a major theme of the show, making us ask what it is to be human or to become human. So we are basically encouraged to always wonder how much of what we see is "real" human and how much is monster putting on a mask. Your assessment here suggests you've bought into him being almost wholely "human" (and a pushover of a human at that) at this point.

Exactly, the whole point is he is TRYING to look harmless, like he's a pushover, because it would be extremely bad for him if anyone suspects him for what he truly is.

Trust me, there are plenty of times when we see what he's really like and I would not ever call him a pushover.

(Although in my mind, the show ended at Season 4, it's all a slipperly slope downhill from there :P)
