Synopsis

The "paranormal science" story follows nine idiosyncratic individuals, linked by the "Chōjō Kagaku Kirikiri Basara" occult summary blog run by 17-year-old second-year high school student Yūta Gamon. Little incongruities that occur around these nine eventually lead to a larger, unimaginable event that may alter what is considered common sense in this world.

Episode 1

Yuta sure does talk fast. Anyway, this is basically character introductions here, and these nine are quite an interesting bunch of people. Ryoka is not afraid to show off her big boobs, while Miyuu is a celebrity that goes to Yuta's school. So far, a lot of things are just thrown out there with connections to be built in later episodes. It's off to an intriguing start there, but the animation is pretty bad, and certainly worse than what A-1 usually puts out. Of course, not all ugly animation is created equal as Mob Psycho had ugly artwork, but it was ugly with a purpose. This show it looks like it's ugly due to a shoestring budget.

Episode 1

After seeing the first episode in more details..I have to admit, this was underwhelming

The animation quality looks like crap, character designs can hardly be taken seriously (I think the show is self-aware in someways), while there's some references (666, number of the Beast) related to demons/devils.

Only that cliffhanger so far has my interest. Felt like a shit load of stuff happened during the first episode. Might need to re-watch again.

Ergh, this is annoying.

The MC has that annoying Otaku-centric personality where they talk to fast and act so meta or self-aware as if it were the coolest thing ever.. It figures since this is adapted from a LN.

I'll take a pass on this one. LN adaptation hardly impress me anyways.

When i hear Gamo-senpai all i see in my head is the hentai ouji. And did the character designer's hand slip when he/she got to Ryo-tas's chest lul

Anyway, i didn't have any real gripes with it. I see a lot of comments about the art style, the backgrounds are awesome imo, but otherwise yeah i can see where most everyone is coming from with like the noses and heavy sketch line style is awkward. It doesn't bother me that much but maybe cause i'm trying to read the subtitles quickly and trying to discern the most important parts of dialogue for the incoming supernatural mystery and I'm not paying that much attention to the art lol
I love the fast and witty dialogue, I'm interested to see how all of these characters and their paths are going to meet each other somewhere down the line in the plot

Boooooooooy, wew is she stack lad.
....

Those noses, need a nose job tho...I enjoy the Drrr speed, but it has none of the proper tempo pace to go with it, which is a little disheartening...

Not sure what to fully think about this, yet, very interested, but the motivation is at half mass. Also being kinda lost, is a bit bittersweet, like could this a fun show to unravel and get it...or will I end up wasting my time?

I like the art style and such, but had a hard time following this first episode not gonna lie. I got the general gist of the episode so that's good, but it was pretty much all over the place so that was kinda difficult to follow at times.

Gonna give this a few episodes and see what's up.

My expectations weren't too high to begin with, but oh boy was that obnoxious. Every moment I wanted all those characters to shut up, or at least slow down with the exposition dumps. Really, it felt like the script was a litteral copypaste from the light novel's text.

Doubt I'll keep up with this one, saturday is loaded enough as it is.

Hate to say this, but I don't trust anything the Steins;Gate guy does at this point. He wrote one good series, and a crapload of forgettable ones.

Eh.

I like the OP and ED. I am interested on what the whole outcome is.

Also apparently the first episode covered the first LN. So damn that pacing.

Can't believe there is negativity about this one. I loved it! Could be the best of the season for me. Really cool, stylish, I love the quick cuts, the characters are interesting, music is great. Can't wait to see where it goes.

I have a feeling that the anime will slow down quite a bit after the first few episodes. There is no way they could keep this quick cutted pace up and actually expect it to be coherent. This first episode felt like it was just introducing the characters in an "edgy" way. I dunno if I liked the Psychotic pacing or not, guess we will see as things keep going.
