For a sec there, I thought Poco was all like "I'm running out of time..." cause he was running out of magical energy or something. I thought maybe once the udon shop was reopened they would have to say goodbye, but it looks like they'll be together for a while yet

Poco's Udon World EP 9 "Dried Sardines

This had me on a roller coaster / besides Souta making Udon Poco is having a hard time hiding he is a Tanuki , Souta says they will always be friends.

Hirishi suspects something / Souta's sister is asking more ?? / Shunsuke Fujiyama suspects something reading a Tanuki book

Poco you picked the Spring Onions / that why we are sad

Hiroshi is reminded of himself being called different

He suspects something is up

Episode 10

Congratulations, Rinko. She's becoming a mother, and it's no wonder why she decided that she wanted to cook seeing that she has quite a ways to go before she could handle such duties as a mother. So this episode is about spending time with mother as Souta and Rinko had quite a rivalry in the kitchen, all while Shinobu is there supporting everybody.

This episode was packed with emotions. Rin is going to be a mother? Awesome news! She's got ways to go in the cooking department, but the effort is there. I imagine she got pregnant shortly after her moment with Poco. How long has Poco been with Souta? From what I can tell, its about 1-2 months at most. I really liked Rin's interactions with Nakaji and Souta. Speaking of Nakaji, poor guy, the one girl he was interested in got married.

Poco's presence has done wonders for Souta and Rin. As adults with different careers and living apart, those two would naturally drift apart. Now they're getting more familiar again. Poco impacted Rin's decision to become a mother. Plus, Poco's magic even let them vividly see their past. I just hope that Poco gets to stay with Souta and meet Rin's kid.

I just watched the latest episode this morning and I thought it was a wonderful episode.I rewatched it twice.

The writing on this manga and then anime adaptation is just marvelous. This is the kind of writing that really makes a difference in many ways , it focused in on the characters creating so much depth.

Death of a parent always gets me but this time I didn't cry becuase there is joy in the episode. Excellent episode.
Will collect this anime for sure.

and its is becoming clear what will happen to the udon shop.
But I wonder how long Poco will stay at Souta's side in the writing . I feel Poco is an answer to a prayer by their parents.

Anyway on a side note... everytime I hear Nakamura san(Souta) and Sugita san(Nakaji) in the same scene, it reminds me of the gaming show they made together. These 2 are good buddies. they were pretty candid and revealed some info about other seiyuu you just dont hear seiyuu talk about got me cracking up.

I don't think Poco is cute the character design is kind of ugly, really.

Dang. About halfway through this episode I had to pause it because I wasn't sure I could take it. Nothing was particularly sad, but this show really gets me thinking about my own life and family. .

Jeez, man. The last show to do this to me, ironically, was Gourmet Girl Graffiti. I know most people just associated that show with the "food pron", but it made me feel just as sad for remembering all the time I used to spend cooking with my grandmother. That show really hit me hard, but it also brought back happy memories. This episode just makes me feel sad though. I'm already pretty close to my parents, so the episode just reminds me that they're going to die someday . . . which I guess is a good thing to come to grips with, but still . . .

What the heck is it with these cooking shows being so profound and sentimental?

Poco's Udon World EP 10 ""

This what makes anime great a heartwarmimg sad yet close family/ freind dynamics ( Poco included )

Souta / POCO / Rinko / Nakajima ( not aware of the date ) are together for Souta / Rinko mom's Death remberance . Rinko wants to cook as she always wanted to be like her mom . It turns ot bad and Souta forgetting what he said in the past questions her cooking / remember she tried cooking after her mom dies and Souta was not happy with her cooking then.

She takes off crying and Nakajima followd her again a similiar theme she too off to the Reservoir crying when Souta was knocked out and felt worried because they said her mom would be OK too but died.

She tells Nakajima not to smoke ( I kinda thought she might be pregrant )

They talk things over and Nakajima admits he had a crush on Rinko She kinda knew too ) but he was too much like family which what this great episode was about.

Souta Poco catch up to Rinko bbut Poco says sorry before Souta does.

Next day at the family gravesite as Souta / Rinko / Poco pray quite a surprise as Poco used his powers to let Rinko / Souta see their parents in the past / Rinko saying she wants to be like her mom and Souta telling his dad he wants to cook Udon That just floored me

Poco /art of the family

Episode 11

Souta has decided to adopt Poco and make him his pet, err, son. So he has some work lined up as he has aspirations of reopening his father's restaurant, but still needs to refine his udon-making skills, while he has some work to do at the festival. But then come the fireworks and Poco's tail comes out and is caught on camera. Just when it looked like Souta had his life figured out, all of the sudden now he has to answer to a lot of people about what Poco is all about.
