Find a pencil and draw realistic people is my suggestions.

Since its overly sized eyes and unrealistic and doesn't resemble human beings. Dramas is not real life. But my point is overly perverted eyes doesn't make it real more or less. I dont hate or dislike anime i just think its wrong for people to not use their talent and creativity to create something on their own.

I mean it may be fun to draw Sonic and Shadow from Sonic series, but i don't think it would be creative on keeping on it. Atleast what i think when it comes to drawing stuff you wanna draw. Pencil is your best tool.

huh?
I don't think drawing anime is a waste of their talent, you should check out websites like Pixiv or Deviant art, there are tons of amazing and also creative anime style drawings there.

How is drawing in a non-realistic style less creative than drawing in a realistic style?

Yes, drawing from the real is a great way to get started and to get better at art, and you should always experiment. However, you can still be creative when drawing for cartoons or anime. Look at all the various styles out there as it is. Spongebob looks nothing like anime just like Steven Universe and Rick and Morty are also unique in the medium. On top of that, saying the pencil is the best tool is a bit off as well. Everyone has their preferred medium and saying one dominates the other is purely subjective. Just because you like pencil doesn't mean someone else wont prefer ink.

I don't see how non realistic drawings are inferior to more realistic styles. If you have a personal taste in art styles than that's just your suggestive opinion. It has nothing to do with the artists talent, if they prefer a less realistic style of drawing.

Look the best tool... isn't my pencil. It is whatever tool I hold in my hand. I don't think its a waste to draw in cartoon styles.

Here is a work in progress. It's not realistic, it's not cartoonish, it's somewhere in between. I'm going for a low-fantasy style here. Think Dark/Demon's Souls. What's most important is your passion and your tenacity. I won't rest until I reach the level of Artstation pros or until my hands are no longer capable.

I'm approaching this with the same zeal that I did previously to prepare for the NFL (and in this case I am unlikely to be injured into submission )

Nothing gets done with a negative attitude.

My point here is that there shouldn't be any style elitism. You should practice what you enjoy and dabble in a few other styles to develop your own distinctive style.

That's like calling Picasso a terrible artist because his paintings don't look like real people.

Art is a reflection of individuality. Even if someone chooses to copy nothing but manga characters for the rest of their life, it's what THEY choose to do. It's their chosen form of self expression, which is the whole purpose of art to begin with. Suggesting to someone that they can't be a good artist unless they draw realistic humans is narrow minded and self centered.

Art isn't about YOU, it's about the artist.
