I have almost fully converted to P.C. games. I have bought almost all consoles since 1996 and now I feel it's a waste. Everyone I know is switching to P.C..

That's subjective really
I have no need to switch to PC anytime soon since all my friends are on PS4

Then you are the anti-christ and deserve a hundred lashes for aiding and abetting in the downfall of quality computer games.

Not in my world.

Unfortunately, I don't own a super PC so I'm constantly playing in consoles & handhelds.

Depends on what games the user likes or if they have preference of playing certain genres on one or the other. I doubt consoles are going anywhere since they are the cheaper option to play games, not to mention the only place you can play certain games. Simply put consoles make too much money for them to go anywhere and are more easily accessible to the masses.

They're only really struggling japan due to how the market has changed, and many other factors (The handheld market is way healthier in japan, even though mobile is still bigger). For the rest of the world? No. Just look at sales figures for the PS4 and Xbox One. Consoles are very much thriving.

Consoles are hardly a cheaper platform to game. Sure, the entry price is lower, but the price of PC games is much lower, and sales are commonplace through the year. Not to mention, you don't have to buy the entire thing again when a new generation of tech comes around, only update your GPU, and if too old, your CPU (and maybe MoBo) and you're set.

I haven't upgraded my GPU in 4 years and it still goes strong with 1080p 60FPS with high settings on most games..

Sure assuming the person can upgrade it themselves. Many people are not comfortable doing such things. Plus a new GPU upgrade (depending on if you prefer AMD or Nvidia) can cost you $400, add another ~$100+ for motherboard (depending if you want to overclock) and a CPU (once again another $200 or so depending on preference) and it adds up to more than a console will generally cost.

Good point, I hadn't considered how many people would not do it themselves, because I myself I´m used to do it since it´s so easy. And you only need to change your MoBo if you plan to get a CPU with a new Socket, that´s not a part you change a lot.

Trust me, they're anything but dead. The only place they're really struggling is Japan due to a variety of reasons, but it's alive and well elsewhere.
