Hello.
So I've noticed that some of your shows are actually available on free sites LONG before you have them available here.
It really makes me question if you are serious about your lineups? or just having them "for show"?

As a site where one pay to watch shows, you should really make DAMN sure you are first out, or ATLEAST out with the new episodes of shows at the same time as everyone else.

Typically, shows are made available an hour after broadcast. Sometimes, that broadcast isn't based on the station that premiered the episode, but on another television station that airs at a later date/time. Because CR is a legal simulcast service, they can't release episodes earlier than the licensors have approved.

Sometimes, shows are streamed from another service first, like Daisuki or The Anime Network, and than made available to CR later. I believe Girlish Number is one example of this with TAN for this season. Again, the same applies as the paragraph above.

I get it, and I kind of figured it was some kind of legal thing. But I still believe its a problem which should be brought up. The specific show im seeing it happening to this season is MSG: Iron Blooded Orphans.

Its just really pissing me off personally that I try to support this way of doing it, but then one of my favorite shows are available on scetchy free sites long before it shows up here :/

Not CR's fault as you've figured out.

CR is essentially a distributor. The copyright holder controls who gets what, when, and how. CR has no legal leverage whatsoever to distribute works they haven't gotten rights to, and there's no legal requirement for a copyright holder to share their work.

The Gundam franchise is owned by Sunrise. Sunrise is part of the Anime Consortium Japan, which is a group of studios and at least 1 ad group/agency, and the ACJ also owns Daisuke.net. To get site draw, Daisuke is using IBO as their exclusive for this anime season again. They've decided they'll make more money that way then open bidding to streaming distributors like CR.

There's a 1 week delay and Daisuke elected to share it with other legal sites. Other shows in the ACJ that were exclusives have been on 1 week delay too, others have been 2-4 weeks on delay, and some have never been released to CR. tbf, though I've never actually checked this, CR likely deals with more exclusives esp. given TV Tokyo owns part of CR.

We might as well be complaining to Fox how come they don't have the latest episodes of Game of Thrones. Getting pissed about it isn't going to change the business models. ACJ is a trust of primary content creators that controls their works and distribution for ad dollars. CR is a streaming provider/distributor/middleman to foreign markets (relative to Japan) financed more by membership fees that ultimately acts as a steady revenue stream for whichever content delivery provider (CDN) currently owns CR (eg AT&T).

yes yes yes! I got it already. However, I believe that, in that case, services like CR maybe should try to voice their concern regarding the "shady" free sites that posts the episodes super-early!

I understand its not CR's fault, and per now, I guess its no longer a feedback thread, as I've gotten my answer several times. But it doesn't excuse whats happening. Again, I believe services like CR should speak up about how it looks really bad when these "illegal" sites release episodes early, while a totally legal site doesn't get the episode before way late.

As for the last poster, I understand that you're trying to explain it in an easy way, but I live in Norway, which is a country with limited availability due to strict copyright, and where the "analogy" about Fox wouldn't work, because it's just not like that here..
What I'm trying to get at, is that me reacting "strongly" to this might just be a cultural difference.
