Quite a few shows recently have had very bad issues with volume. Specifically, the background noise and music completely drowns out the dialogue. It happened in Episode 2 of Orange (not that noticeable), the entire run of The Morose Mononokean sans the first episode (this was really noticeable), and the reason I'm making this thread, Episode 2 of Kiss Him, Not Me. This episode is nigh-unwatchable because you can barely hear these characters talking over the blaring ost. I'm watching this on my Wii-U, but after checking, the same issue persists on mobile and on the computer. Is there a way the audio can be fixed? Because as it stands, it makes these episodes and shows impossible to get through.

Short of requesting a new remaster from the publisher in Japan, probably not. Unlike physical releases that sometimes receive audio as separate tracks (to allow for 5.1 remixes, English dubbing, etc.), CR almost certainly receives only a final mix.

I don't think it's an issue with the copy that Crunchyroll received and published. There are TV rips of episode 2 of Kiss Him, Not Me, that have correct audio. I wouldn't be surprised if the other shows OP mentioned also have TV rips with correct audio as well. It's more likely its an issue on CR's end. I recently encountered this issue with Golden Time a couple weeks ago. Sometimes an episode would have terrible mixing, with SFX and the music blasting, while dialogue was near impossible to hear. I had previously watched Golden Time on CR well over a year ago and it didn't have this problem, so there's something going on that's causing this audio problem.
