I'm laid up at home with a shattered arm, and need some good recommendations for some light-hearted romance anime or manga. Don't want anything that will depress the hell out of me because I'm already bummed out.

I've watched and would like similar anime like:
Kimi ni todoke
Maid Sama
Ouran High School Host Club
Special A
Say I Love You
Lovely Complex
Kamisama Kiss
Kaze no Stigma
etc. etc.

Would also like some fun/funny action shows. Romance not necessary but a welcome addition. Not interested in Naruto or Bleach, they just don't appeal to me. JoJo's looks good but the animation makes me pause a little bit, but if enough people swear by it I'll give it a shot. Again nothing depressing, like Akame ga kill. Seriously, no tragic deaths please.

Stein's;Gate? It can be funny when you get to know the characters and there is a romance element as the show builds up. It's a good anime and asks some serious questions. Would you choose the life of your soul mate over saving the life of your childhood friend?

I would also say Clannad as it's pretty funny but it doesnt really get romantic until the second season. Also it's not very light hearted, it's more of a emotional rollercoaster then anything but the ending is good and you walk away feeling more human then you did before you started it.

Maybe Yamada kun and the seven witch's?

Happy endings guaranteed: (I'll second My Love Story and Yamada Kun & the Seven Witches, too)

Anime: (Romance)
Amagami SS
Kimikiss: Pure Rouge (Also Kimikiss: Various Heroines Manga)
Aishiteruze Baby (Also a Manga)
Snow White with the Red Hair
The World is Still Beautiful
Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu
Mahoraba (Although the Manga is better)

w/ Light-hearted Action
Ookami-San & Her Seven Companions (mild romance)
Witch Craft Works (mild romance)
Blast of Tempest (decent romance; also a manga--plot finishes in both similarly, though manga has small epilogue)

Chibi Vambire (AKA Karin; has an anime, but never seen it)
Kare "First Love'
Koi Dano Ai Dano (prequel is called Warau Kanoko-Sama--I'd recommend reading it for context, though Koi Dano is way better)
Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu
Bocchi na Bokura no Renai Jijou
Itoshi no Karin
Taro-kun wa Kou Miete...
W Juliet
Voice Over
Servant x Service (anime goes about half-way through plot)

Manga w/ Action and Romance
W Change
Change 123

Thanks for all the suggestions. I've started on My Love Story and absolutely love it, it's hilarious and just the right amount of light-hearted romance.

Maybe once I'm done with that I'll try Yamada-kun.

I've watched Snow White with the Red Hair, it was really great.

I really enjoyed ReLIFE. You can pretty much binge watch the whole thing in an evening if you want to. It's a very heartwarming story. I hope your arm gets better soon
