Funnily enough, I've been in this situation and I'm still with that person today. Thought that they were female, turns out they were male but pre-op. I still love them a hell of a lot, we've been through a lot together and I wouldn't give that up. I think its been 2 years and 7 months?

Still a slightly different situation. If you weren't good with male parts, and they had no intention on changing those parts, it WOULD have been an issue.

Hope everything works out.

I suppose it is slightly different. I feel that either way, my main concern would be how they treated me as a person, and whether we got along or not. I understand that sex can be an important part of a relationship though, so I can see how some people may think differently.

Thanks alot!

Well I am bisexual. But answering as a nonbisexual person...

Who said your soulmate has to be your sexual partner? There are plenty of legendary friendships and pairings that make it seem two people were made for each other even if they are not sexually attracted to each other. We have examples like Bill and Ted, Jay and Silent Bob, Sherlock and Watson, Frodo and Sam and countless more. The idea of platonic love and friendship seems to be sort of ignored at times.

I can agree with this.... to a degree. I mean these types of soul mates are just as real as the romantic variety.... which is to say that soul mates aren't really a thing at all.

But, considering OP was addressing a sexual situation, and the discovery of their genitalia, this post doesn't address OP.

To add to your list:

Scott and Stiles
Harold and Kumar
Cheech and Chong

And, as you said, many more.
