This is true.

However, I feel like equality and a true unity of people is not only a white people responsibility. It is mankind's responsibility.

If you are human (I know there's a few cats out there.), you need to realize that you have to be that example of unity. White, black, brown, green (hey, I can't forget the US Marines, can I.), then you need to be treating everyone with love and understanding. You can't hate someone because they were born with the same color skin as a 1800s slave owner, or a 1950s KKK member, or that racist asshole you bumped into at the store yesterday. You have to understand that very few people born after the 1960s really contributed to any systematic racism you see today. Therefore, that is not an excuse to call them a racist. They MAY be a racist, but it isn't because of the color of their skin.

I suggest we organize our nation's social goals like this: Stop trying to control others if it doesn't hurt you ---> Love each other ---> Become united as one people ---> hold our government accountable to the people, for the first time since Bill's BJ.

I promise, no matter how big the problem, if we unite and face it together, we'll stop seeing a lot of this nonsense. I mean, if one guy acts racist, and everyone of all races stands up against him and voices their collective disapproval, that behavior will whither on the vine.

But anyway..... I took my sleep meds 4 hours ago, I'm tired and slightly intoxicated/inebriated in a not fun way, and I'm going to bed.

God bless.

Racism can exist in any society and group of people. A lot of what is going in the Middle East today breaks down on ethnic lines. Everyone knows in urban areas in some cities break down on ethnic lines which influences the racial makeup of gangs.

The reason white people get a lot of shit in the U.S. it because it was state-sanctioned up until 50 years ago, same reason Sunni people are getting shit in Iraq.

They should entirely eliminate salt from their diets. That'll show them. That'll show all of them.

This is an example of why grammar is important.

No one should be proud of their race. It's pathetic. It's like telling people you've accomplished so little in your life that the only thing you can have pride in is your race. So sad. Be proud of your education, income, career, volunteer activities, charities, etc...

But you have to be careful that your pride doesn't turn into arrogance, no matter what you find pride in.

I agree, mostly. It is everyone's responsibility. Many people mistake the goals of certain political movements to be exclusionary or expecting another race to fix their issues. The responsibility to fix any systemic issues should be everyone's responsibility. A fair system must be fair for everybody - after all, it could be you getting the ass-end of injustice.

I will also agree that very few people today have contributed to issues with the system, but again, people misunderstand. I've never seen so much confusion over the name of a political movement. If I could roll back time, I'd tell the BLM guys that they should call it "Black Lives Matter Too." Again, everyone has a fair system to work within, no matter who they are. Race should never factor into the equation in the justice system or education system.

Another issue I think we have is that our society could go further in helping children growing up in poor areas, no matter their race, get the opportunity a solid education can provide. There are plenty of shitty schools around the country. Meanwhile, other schools blow millions of dollars on high school football stadiums that rival many college stadiums. It's pretty atrocious.

Agree about schools, not about Black Lives Matters.

Black Lives Matters - defending criminals who would have died no matter what race, given the same behavior of either themselves, the officers , or both.

It isn't that cops don't unjustly kill black people, but that they also kill white people in the same fashion. Bad cops is the problem, not racism, and until that is addressed, expect no improvement.

Now, are black people more often the victims? Yes, because they are more often the criminals. But, that's not a racism thing against black people, but rather the result of past racism from white people, placing black people in a disadvantaged position. That disadvantaged position has created a subculture that promotes crime as the only answer. It's the same as white trash communities, except there are less white trash communities due to past racism.

So, literally, here again, we're looking at issues of past racism, not the racism of today.

I say again, it is everyone's responsibility to unfuck America. You can pretend you're a victim, and you'll be encouraging hate. You can pretend that black people put themselves in their current position, and you are promoting hate. Black Lives Matters is promoting hate. Promoting the hate of white Americans, and giving justification for white Americans to hate. See shit for what it is, and move the fuck on. Love's the only way. Until we get that, we're either making the situation worse or spinning tires at best.
