Nintendo Switch is Nintendo company new console that revealed

https://youtu.be/f5uik5fgIaI

In addition to providing single-player and multiplayer thrills at home, the Nintendo Switch system also enables gamers to play the same title wherever, whenever and with whomever they choose. The mobility of a handheld is now added to the power of a home gaming system to enable unprecedented new video game play styles.

At home, Nintendo Switch rests in the Nintendo Switch dock that connects the console to the TV and lets you play with family and friends in the comfort of your living room. By simply lifting the Nintendo Switch console from the dock, it will instantly transition to handheld mode, and the same great gaming experience that was being enjoyed at home now travels with you. The portability of Nintendo Switch is enhanced by its bright high-definition display. It brings the full home gaming system experience with you to the park, on a train, in a car, or to a friend’s apartment.

Gaming springs into action by removing detachable Joy-Con controllers from either side of the Nintendo Switch console. One player can use a Joy-Con controller in each hand; two players can each take one; or multiple Joy-Con controllers can be employed by numerous people for a variety of gameplay options. They can easily click back into place or be slipped into a Joy-Con grip accessory, mirroring a more traditional controller. Or, if preferred, the gamer can select an optional Nintendo Switch Pro Controller to use instead of the Joy-Con controllers. Furthermore, it is possible for numerous people to bring their Nintendo Switch consoles together to enjoy local multiplayer face-to-face competition.

the console seems very convenient to use, though there's still no info on battery capacity / duration. hopefully enough for 8+ hours of gameplay. good thing they didn't name it "Nintendo Wii Z" or something (like they did with Wii U)

I'm having a really hard time seeing this as a good or bad product as we only have that advert and a press release to go on.

For instance what material are they using on the screen, something very important as as you'll be sliding it out and in of the dock so it might get scratches by that. Then there's also the side control thing where you can slide the controllers on and off, how secure is it and is it possible for a bypasser to just steal it from you, or does the actual control parts hold it in hard enough so that won't happen. Then there's also the concern regarding.

I really think Nintendo did a massive miss of judgement as they didn't have a press event with a hands-on after. That way most of my consers would most likely have been answered

the screen does not touch the dock - you can see there's a space between the screen and the internal part of the dock.
if you're using the console in mobile-mode, you'll obviously be holding both controllers, so someone would have a hard time stealing something you're holding on to. it's possible they steal it if you leave your console unattended, but that holds true for virtually anything.
the console is too big to hold in your pocket, so pick-pocketing won't happen, either.

honestly seems like it's gonna be a fail, but it's too early to call it. Could be like pokemon go where it becomes a short fad. In the long run a console needs to have games, good games. I honestly don't play as much games on console anymore, PC has all the games I want, makes it easier.

I go where the games are, and so far, PC and playstation is where I'm at. (though I still own every nintendo console because I'm a nintendo fan and zelda fan) Most gamers sit at home which is the funnier part.

I'm excited to see Pokemon on it

Btw, that advert music sucks, I put Beastie Boys Sabotage (works with everything)

This isn't a console its a handheld device you connect to a docking station to hook up to a TV. If Microsoft quits Xbox in 2017 after the 4k Xbox it would appear that Sony won.

Its Home and on the Go, there is 2 thing we can asure, Nintendo Switched to ARM in the home console in order to make it run PowerPC games on the go with OpenGL and the base of the home stand can contain a additional CPU and GPU power

Currently adult owners of Nintendo home console want Metroid and F-zero franchise back , yet Nintendo continue to focus on mobile!

And with this Nintendo switch from home console market to all console market, and Nintendo wont focus on heavily competitive games like on PS4 , Xbox One and PC.
With the PS4 Pro and Project Scorpio on the horizon will Nintendo withstand current competition?

If it has Monster Hunter, it might be worth buying, otherwise I have other ways to play.

I think it is too late for Nintendo to try to compete in terms of power with Mircosoft and Sony consoles. I think this is the best move they could have done. The PV suggests that this will have support from quite a few big name 3rd party producers, which has been the biggest hit to Nintendo in the past. As soon as the specs are revealed, this can get Nintendo back in the race or dissolve what is left.

Nintendo never tried to compete with them in the first place though. they focused more on 1st party games to sell their consoles.
until now that is.
