Hello there. I don't feel comfortable sharing my real name with most people. However, you can call me Nala or Nal if you think Nalaniel is too long of a name. One of the reasons I joined this group is the fact that Courtney invited me. I am usually shy around a group of people I don't know, but that will subside once I get to know some of you. I hope we will be able to get along well. I also need to note that I usually don't use emojis. That doesn't necessarily mean I am being serious, but I will try to make it more obvious when needed.

The kind of music I currently listen to would be synthie-pop, reggae, rock and new wave. As you can see, some of those genres stem from the 1980's. No, I am not one of those spoiled brats who go around saying today's music sucks. The thing is, I am used to listening to older songs and I like them quite a lot.

Some bands and artists I like at the moment: Cliff Richard, Yazoo, Spandau Ballet, Falco, Tears for Fears.

Very nice to meet you also. I hope you feel welcome here.

The music i found i liked which i haven't mentioned previously is Daft Punk loved their music growing got some great boot leg live albums of them playing great stuff. I also found bands such as the Doves, Enigma and a Chinese classical music player called Ji Liu because i also love classical music too. I too am looking forward to getting to know you and everyone else here too.

I don't know anything about most of the things you mentioned, but I did enjoy the animated videos that were part of some of Daft Punk's songs. ^^ Regarding classical music, I am only familiar with the masterpieces that stem from various parts of Europe. Maybe I should do a bit more research there.

Well my tastes vary so much i like all genres i can pick a song from each and honestly say i like it and not just for the sake of saying i like it too which i feel some people are guilty of. I use to dislike dubstep and rap but even now i have found stuff within these genres i like and listen to i listen to music daily and my play list on YouTube is so random now i love it xD

How did you start your journey in exploring the beauties of the world's music? Were you just curious and interested to see how it would play out if you tried something new? I am kind of stubborn in my taste of music. It's difficult to get me to like something else. I suppose that is part of my natural stubbornness.

I can be very stubborn too i like my comfort zone but now and then i will not just step out of my comfort zone i will leap from it trying something very new. I like fast paced Rock, Rap and then i also love classical music. My journey started when i was a kid i use to have my own Walkman and i would borrow stuff from people and try it. When i was in my early teens i started buying music CDs and shared a CD player with my brother and by the time i got to College to study art and design i had my own personal CD player with anti-job tech in it. It;s hard to pin point the moment i became curious with my ears but when ever i hear something new and i like it i do my up most to find out who or what it was and because of that drive i have found some truly unique music over the years but don't get me wrong I still consider myself very young with the best years of my life to come. Also here's a tip play a song you really like on YouTube and play it with auto play on let it roll for a bit you will hear all sorts doing that i found a new song i like doing this

Sounds like a fun childhood in a way. Simplicity is sometimes better than having too many means to get to music. I have been kind of spoiled by having everything at my disposal. It must be true when people say that working towards a specific goal can be more fun than reaching the goal. I do have a question: what is anti-job tech? You are young. Not the same way I am, but still. ^^ Will do. Also, I will have to give a song more than one shot.

Hi everyone!

I'm Sof and I don't tend to be very picky when it comes to music (as seems to be the trend in this thread ) but the genres I enjoy most are alternative, indie rock, folk, electronic and the occasional R&B and hip hop/rap.

I really can't pick a favourite artist but if I had to make an all-time top five it would probably include:
The Killers, Arcade Fire, The National, Lana Del Rey, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Placebo, Stars... shit this is over five.... you get the picture!

Welcome to the group Sof. I honestly wouldn't able to make a top five because every artist is my favorite.

Haha guess it's my turn to introduce myself. Ahem -clears throat- well where do I begin ( I also suck at introductions btw ) my name is Light or L whichever you prefer to call me. Music is my passion and I'm currently practicing on an acoustic guitar. My favorite genre of music is Rock (any kind of rock actually). I have many favorite bands but I can give you one that I love off the top of my head and that is Killswitch Engage!
Hmm I guess that is all for now. Nice to meet everyone here.
