I haven't seen this posted here, so I thought I would do it. I've been waiting a long time for this research to go public, and since it finally did last week I want to spread it around.

Here's a short playlist I made with a video about the research study, and when I met the President last week.

Here's a video of me playing PAC-MAN Championship Edition DX+ with only signals from my brain.

Hmmm.... cyborgy transformation needs to take a more lethal/weaponized route before it attracts my interest.

Woah, so what kind of response time does that have? It looks instantaneous really. In terms of getting pac man to move where you want, do you have to continuously think "up, down, right left, etc." If your mind wanders do you lose control?

I would pretty much consider the control system to be lag free. That being said, there is definitely a game speed threshold where my control goes downhill. Yes, I'm basically thinking directions constantly, and concentration is key. When things get tense and I end end up focusing on the trail of ghosts behind me I often end up turning in that direction. The biggest control issues I could have are directional biases that can happen during training. Basically if I end up thinking a direction "harder" during training the system, the end result will be control "pulling" in the that direction. It can then be compensated for, but when time is low it might not all get worked out. That's why the first part of the video I have difficulty going left.

I am not entirely sure I want my immortality via a 99% robotic incarnation . I put a lot of effort into this body and would like to keep it if at all possible. Genetic augmentation sounds much better , easier to make it hereditary to.

That being said that was awesome OP.

I think we should preserve the bodies of the recently deceased, in case we gain the technology to repair them back to full functionality. Then we will have a surplus of biologically authentic bodies to use as avatars for our cybernetic awareness and consciousness installation.
