Because I'm stupid. I don't think my brain can take more than one language

Lets See...Two phonetic alphabets of 45 characters each to memorize (done) 3100 kanji characters at minimum each with two different pronunciations coming in up to groups of 10 having the same phonetic equivalent to memorize (can I even do that?) most of which are supplemented with one or two of the 45 Hiragana making 6.2 Million different words at least to memorize and ad to that polite, and informal word forms, about a dozen verb forms with unique conjugations and auxiliary verbs used in various combinations plus a raft of other adverbs with various specific implications (like "Toki ni" which implies an action must be done in a particular time frame or else negative consequences will follow) not to mention grammatic rules with exceptions none of which have direct English equivalents

The average HS student will have taken 10 years to get through all that while exposed to it every day, so excuse me if I only know the alphabets a few dozen words and phrases and "counters" while trying to casually learn over the last decade. Good on you if you can do all that in your lifetime...

Don't really have the time, nor do I have any real practical use for it in my everyday life. I'd like to someday, however.

Well, I'm still self-teaching myself, and it's pretty difficult task to do! Three years of Japanese in high school really helped, though; I have the basics down but I still have a lot to learn. Even with all that I know, I wouldn't even consider myself semi-fluent yet. I might be able to partially speak it and have a good grasp on hiragana, katakana, and SOME kanji, but I can't hold an actual conversation.

Can't see an immediate use for it.
It'd just be added to the list of my interesting and difficult to learn, but largely useless skills.
The only japanese I encounter is in anime, and I can just pay a handful of dollars for a translation. Why put in all the time and effort to learn a language that'll be shelved and forgotten?

On the upside, everything sounds like it is spelled.

Believe it or not Kanji can make reading easier and faster. I remember quite often and still do, seeing lines in just hiragana and wishing they had just used kanji to shorten things up.

Would love to mainly for Japanese Role playing games that never hit US shores.. :p Also Japanese Women!!! :D

Well, I can't even master the English language, and unable to pronoun most of the words due to not able to hear the whole words (deafness).

I just need to find help with perfecting the English, than just maybe I can find a way to learn Japanese Language but rather only to able to read not to pronoun (talk) though it! XD
