Well I don't think it would be fair to rate the character seeing as you said it was not a completley appropriate description of her so Ill pass on it this time.

Name: Keiko Siao

Age: changes throughout the story.

Strenghts: Keiko is an increasingly rare sight in the wartorn land of Taurialba: an extremely powerful warrior who fights, not for war, but for sport. Keiko was born to a rich eastern family who pushed her into becoming one of the top martial artists of the kingdom of Balion. Due to her status as rich girl and top competitor she quickly developped a confidence as strong as steel which fed her determination to reach her goals, particularly becoming the first member of Praevar's army and showing the world (and herself) that she can use her talents to make a difference. As a martial artist she has enough strength to match and surpass warriors with swords and magic with nothing but her bare fists. She is deadly with her strikes and throws and is one of the physically fastest characters in the story and even has a bit of magic power to boot. She is immediately very friendly once you get past her cockiness, easily becoming Praevar's closest friend throughout his adventure. She is also willing to help, as shown when she trained Praevar to better use his fists (his preferred weapon) she is a titanic pillar for the team both emotionally and physically.

Weaknesses: Remnants of her life as a priviledged high class cotizen still remain in her brash and cocky attitude, as she is sometimes too eager to jumo into a fight fists flying. This isn't the best idea for her as she is very much a glass cannon, able to dish out loads of damage, but not able to take much of it, relying on her stamina and agility to keep her from taking hits. Due to her background in competition she isn't used to fighting multiple enemies at once, which puts her at a bit of a disadvantage compared to her friends. The fact that she fights barehanded also means that her effective range is as small as can be. Sometimes she gets too emotionally attached to people, which can lead to some seriously bad situations in a story that is mostly about war.

Occupation: Martial artist, second in command of Praevar's army.

Fun fact: I have a massive crush on this character.

Laric's world seems like it has some intersting things going on. I know he's driven to fight but what was he like before? It seems almost like you're designing a character from a fighting game standpoint which is fine if it's a war story. How does he combat his bloodlust? Does he have anything to anchor him in his better nature?

Sorry to post with no characters but I did my fair share already.

You are correct, it is indeed a war story. I intended to give him several different ways of combating the bloodlust, mostly all surrounding his new companions and the spiritual and philosophical guidance of the main character, Praevar. He would never completely lose it as there were several biological factors causing it, but he was able to successfully limit it to only affect him on the battlefield. It would happen after he found and made up with the friend he had presumed dead and abandoned as part of reaching his status. Before he became a soldier however, he was still a fighter, and in fact he and his aforementioned friend aspired to gain military status since they were children. This was because the country they were born in had a culture that was all about war. They were raised to think that power (physical and political) were everything, and other things only mattered as a means to those ends.

This was Laric's motivation for joining the main group, as they made him realise his mistakes and offered him a second chance at having friends and being treated like a person and not a cog in a war machine. I like that part of the story a lot because you would get to see him awkwardly try to make small talk and express his feelings with the ither characters, with some pretty limited success. I enjoy it because he's built up as one of the scariest and most threatening characters in the story (he even starts out as an antagonist) but ends up being one of the characters who provides the most levity.

Yeah, in hindsight I probably should have included some of that in the character description, but it was already pretty long so I didn't want it to be overstuffed. And you can totally still put more of your characters here. I know I'm looking forward to you doing so.

Well in this story magic is just a part of life. Everyone has the potential to use it at least a little bit, though it's mostly used for the purposes of war what with the nature of the monarchs in the story.

Cuddles sounds interesting, but I don't think there's really enough detail in this description tbh. I'd like to see some artwork of him though. I never have seen a bunny clown...

Name: Savinien of the Berg

Age: changes throughout the story

Strengths: From a young age Savinien had the ambition of becoming the best in the world by excelling at everything, driving him to become a strong and intelligent member of the Kingdom of Clovisia's military. He was, however, not satisfied with this due to not being anywhere near the best and because of his land's continuous losses to the neighbouring kingdom of Balion. He sought to become stronger by challenging the strongest foreigners he could find around his hometown of Berg. This happened to be Praevar and Keiko, whom he caught hatching a plan to overthrow the king. He made them a deal that if each of them could defeat him in 2 on 1 combat then he would pretend he had seen nothing. Losing by a small margin (although that didn't make him any less sore about it) he had every intention of going back on his deal until he witnessed several acts of kindness, friendship and humaneness from the duo. This made him realize that he was lacking in several qualities such as these that he would need in order to realize his ambition and he joined the group as he saw it as an opportunity to better himself. He became empathetic, steadfast and dependable, helping anyone in need and inspiring others to do the same. He possesses numerous skills including lock picking, wilderness survival and blacksmithing. Savinien is also a very clever speaker, able to utilize his words in a variety of different ways such as using subconcious suggestion if he ever feels he needs it to get his way. He is the group's cook and strategist and always strives to gain more skills to bring him closer to his objective.

Weaknesses: Savinien is very brash, and is easily provoked when witnessing acts of cruelty, meaning he will tend to be goaded into attacking a much stronger opponent when he really should be fleeing. His desire to excel at everything makes him prioritize style, only wearing armor when he deems it necessary. His biggest insecurity (of which there are quite a few) is his oddly pointy nose which leads him to be furious at whoever makes fun of it. Savinien also doesn't like depending on others and typically recommends the group not team up with other factions that offer to help them as he assumes (though sometimes correctly) that they are never as strong as they say they are and just want monetary gain or to make themselves look good. He also tries too hard to look heroic, which means he'll sometimes charge into a fight with a strong enemy without giving Praevar the time to use buffs on him even when he is ill (which happens to him a lot)

Occupation: Swordsman, strategist

Fun fact: He likes poetry and pastries, so he writes poems for one of his friends who gives them to customers in his pastry shop.

Savinien is probably my favorite character you've presented to us here. He's a strong character who seems like his weaknesses really hold him back from becoming another overpowered-can-kill-god-as-soon-as-the-series-starts-if-desired kind of character we've seen a lot of in anime recently. He reminds me of how I planned Miranda to be like.

Character's Name: Serena Brodbeck

Age: Like Miranda, her age changes throughout the story

Strengths: Serena is a very friendly and approachable person and because of this she is friends with almost everyone she meets. She supports Miranda through almost everything she does and the two develop a close bond that none of the other characters share, even to the point where Serena actually develops feelings for Miranda. Many of the characters believe that Serena is the only character who could truly calm Miranda if she becomes too enraged. She's also a telepath, which allows her to read and manipulate the minds of almost any one, except electrokinesis because of their natural immunity. Due to her family owning a coffee shop and two younger sisters, she has much more responsibility and experience than the other characters and this leads to her acting like an older sister to many of them. She’s also an expert chef, mostly deserts but she can still cook.

Weakness: While Serena may be a telepath, she also hates being one. Telepaths have a bad rep due to many criminals using the ability to control and manipulate the minds of women, children, and men to fulfill their sexual desires and Serena has heard some very harsh things aimed specifically at her because of it. She avoids using her abilities because of this and is also the only one among her friends with a power that can't be used offensively. She also struggles to understand the problems many of the characters are facing due to her living a normal lifestyle. She is a normal high school girl surrounded by otherwise extraordinary people, and it makes her wonder if she’s really where she belongs.

Occupation: Her family's coffee shop

Fun Fact: She has a zero tolerance for cursing and often punishes her friends when they do, such as pinching Miranda's arm.

Serena sounds like a cute supporting character.

A D&D inspired character of mine.

Character's Name Theardrinna

Age: Late 20s, it's bad for your health to say otherwise

Strengths: Physically Thear is imposing, with corded muscles and large frame that hint at orcish blood somewhere far back in her bloodline. While she displays scars proving she's capable of weathering nasty amounts of abuse in a fight, Thear is always on the lookout for a way to end a fight quickly without her needing to pay for the services of a healer. Spending much of her free time in taverns, she's picked up what best makes a weapon in a pinch, be that her fists for a chair. If there's a fight around, Thear is a reliable pillar in the chaos.

Weakness: Thear has little interest in scholarly pursuits. If it's not a day-to-day concern, she'd rather leave it to a professional bookworm. Her past is something she'd rather leave buried, so she has little interest in other people's dirt. She forms opinions on people and things quickly and stubbornly, leaving her to easily underestimate subtle enemies. Needling her about her scarred and weathered appearance will double her fees on any future jobs, and suggesting she take up a domestic life is a sure way to lose teeth. Bearing a fair measure of personal pride and reputation, she rarely goes back on her word. Thear asks few questions about a job, and with her quick judgements on a job can sometimes leave her working in company she'd rather not keep.

Occupation: Freelance mercenary. Frequently guarding caravans, routing persistent bandits and demi-humans, or whatever else provides a simple job for coin.

Fun Fact: Thear has become popular in taverns she frequents for her willingness to listen to drunken tales, her straightforward advice, and the little bit of dwarvish she's picked up presumably from the constant drinking contests. Just don't call her by the nickname 'Den Mother'.

She sounds awesome.

My Turn:

Character Name: Avangelina Seraphina Maiandra Arionheart

Age: 16

Strengths: Avangelina is a tomboy through and through. She cares deeply about her nation, friends, and family. Avangelina is the Grand-Princess of Arikaisha and even though she isn't skilled in politics, she does her best to help. Avangelina loves the outdoors and hates being coop up in the palace.

Weakness: Avangelina may be a caring person but she is also sarcastic and rude. Her inability to be a proper Grand-Princess has made her a target by people who want her throne. And her unwillingness to learn politics has made her a terrible choice for Grand-Empress. Avangelina is also a depressed person who thinks of suicide constantly. She'll never truly have what it takes to rule a nation for she is too soft where it counts.

Occupation: Grand-Princess

Fun Fact: Avangelina like to climb mountains and eat spicy foods.

She sounds like the exact opposite of the character I'm about to present, but at the same time an interesting and fun one none the less.

Character: Haley Adams

Age: Age changes throughout the story

Strengths: Haley prides herself on her family's name, loyal to her father and rarely questioning the actions he takes to protect the city and the country. The Adams have a lot of power in the company due to her father being a high-ranking official in the military, while her uncle is the CEO of the Atoms corporation, which is responsible for much of the technology seen throughout the Overpowered universe. She's an electrokinesis much like Miranda, but at a lower level being only an a-class. Because of this lower level, she's able to control her abilities more, leading to her being more useful than Miranda. She's strong and independent, able to fend for herself and her friends in a sticky situation. She's also very smart and has exceptional grades in school and an amazing athlete, being on the school's basketball, volleyball, and baseball team. Despite her status as a celebrity, she still cares about her friends and wants to live a normal life, but always finds herself stuck in the middle of the drama surrounding her family. She'll lay down her life to protect someone if she needs to.

Weakness: Because Haley comes from a rich family, she's always got a target painted on her head by less than desirable people and that has lead to a lot of security around her, with Miranda's brother and one of her teacher's acting as bodyguards. Despite the one being her best friend (much to Miranda's dismay) and the other acting like a mother figure to her, she'd prefer it if they let her fight her own fights. Unlike most rich characters, she's able to take care of herself, outside of cooking. Her personality is also akin to Miranda's, though a little more tame. The two are always fighting with each other due to their conflicting opinions on almost everything and Haley truly believes that one of them would have killed the other if it wasn't for their friends restraining them. She acts sort of like the antagonist to Miranda, but they do show signs of friendships and respect towards one another as the story develops.

Occupation: Unemployed

Fun Fact: Acts as a coach for Serena when it comes to sports, which has lead to them becoming good friends and further annoying Miranda.

well... that escalated quickly.

That aside, Serena Evangelina and Haley all sound like cool characters. They make me wish this thread was more active.

Name: Tremulum Fax

Age: 21 (Deceased)

Strengths: In the war mongering kingdom of Visistrea, military strength and knowledge outweigh all other needs and children are raised to crave power and aspire to fight in the military. This was especially true for Tremulum and his childhood friend Laric, who both aimed to be the greatest soldiers in the entire kingdom and become bloodhunters, an exceptionally powerful class of warriors born from the Visistrean military's experiments. At the young age of 21 both men were strong enough to near the top of military status, allowing them to volunteer to receive surgery that would hopefully turn them into bloodhunters. Unfortunately, while Laric's procedure was met with sucess, Tremulum was not strong enough to withstand the incredible power of the transformation. Branded a failure he was dragged to the hidden territory beneath the capital of Tolos to rot away forever while his best friend left him in order to go satiate his newfound bloodlust. The next thing Tremulum knew, he was an undead in the Tolos underground, referred to by its also undead residents as the "Court of Portents". The Court of Portents is a dumping ground for all the military's failed attempts at creating overpowered soldiers and monsters for their army, most of whom are other failed bloodhunter candidates turned undead, like Trem. Weakened, battered and initially without any weapons or armor he would face the many challenges of the Court of Portents, leaving much stronger than when he had arrived. While trapped there Tremulum was forced to become much stronger in a short amount of time to survive. As an undead he cannot be directly killed (at least not permanently) and his damaged nerve endings (a bi-product of the failed experiment) give him an increased pain threshold, though his body still takes damage) While he and Laric share similar personalities, their skillsets are quite different. Whereas Laric prefers lighter armour and weapons, Trem's hulking body is most comfortable with huge armour and even bigger weapons. Laric is fast and swift, dodging enemy attacks and countering with a flurry of his own. Tremulum, meanwhile, prefers to block enemy attacks with his shield and counter with one big damaging attack. Their attitudes in battle also contrast, with Laric viciously hunting his enemies like prey, while Tremulum fights defensively, like every battle could be his last. Unlike his friend, he has a deep fear of his enemies (which is not unwarranted due to how powerful they often are) Laric's conflict is internal, fighting to control the violent madness within him, while Tremulum's main conflict is external, keeping his will to fight and bring justice, even when faced with odds he believes are insurmountable. Fortunately for him his time in the court has shaped him into a powerful warrior, excelling in physical strength, and able to use some basic fire magic he learned during his imprisonment. Tremulum is so strong he managed to defeat the most powerful undead in the Court of Portents, Aquitine, and escaped with the legendary Axe of Marvels, which was purportedly the weapon used the mythical warrior Garbow to fell the ferocious dragon Tawlpo, and establish the kingdom of Visistrea. He later rejoined Laric and, like his friend, decided to join Praevar's army. His motivation for doing so was because he saw it as an opportunity to act as a beacon of hope to all the people who are abused and oppressed like he once was.

Weaknesses: Due to the trauma he suffered in the Court, Tremulum is naturally afraid of the powerful warriors and beasts the group must go up against and while he is a very strong fighter in his own right, he is one of the weakest characters in the group. He can only keep up with the rest thanks to the power of the Axe of Marvels and his nature as an undead, allowing him to get back up after suffering deadly blows. He can revive himself after being killed an infinite amount of times, but he can still die. An undead only stays in its undead state as long as it has the will to go on. Once an undead gives up on themselves they lose the humanity that keeps them the way they are and become Waldem: mindless, savage creatures. These shells of the people they once were can be killed by traditional means, and are likely to fall to such a fate as they constantly attack any living thing around them. If Tremulum's spirit is lost he will be lost as well, doomed to die a Waldem. Another fault of his undead nature is his weakness to healing magic. If an undead is healed their body will progressively turn back into that of a human, at which point they will die. This means that Tremulum has to fight on the frontlines to avoid healers, but it's a double-edged sword, as it means he (one of the weaker characters) has to go up against some of the strongest hitters of the enemy armies. Tremulum is also physically very slow and not an artful dodger by any means. This issue is heavily compunded by his heavy armour as well. Because the black magic he uses is exclusively based around fire it becomes practically useless against enemies with magic that can counter fire (like water or ice) it's not a huge deal, seeing as he typically prefers using his axe and shield anyway, but it can make things very hard in a high-stakes encounter. High stakes encounters are, of course, synonymous with tuesday for the group.

Occupation: Knight

Fun Fact: His entire undead "life" is motivated by hope. He even went as far as to forgive the scientists Sabas and Sansalas who were responsible for what happened to him because he hoped they would use their vast knowledge to help the land become peaceful and just.
