I wish the mod(s) would end troll-thread spam.

It is annoying that single users are allowed to post so many consecutive threads on these forums. There needs to be some more limits put in place, because it makes trolling on here way, way too easy.

They locked a thread of mine because it wasn't good enough in their opinion and told me to redo it. It didn't fall under a written rule. It was a difference in opinion. It was designed with freeform in mind to be easily accessible to a broad audience. Ignorance was also feigned as to where they could have moved the thread.

Where was my freedom or should I have posted "thought provoking flamebait". Wait I got this, let's talk about religions and genital mutilation.

It's a Forum belonging to an anime site. I'm came here to goof off and play nice not read about why someone thinks hitler was a good man or that topic header about stoning women or to basically be told that my innocent fun was less desirable than a trolls'.

As someone who used to be a forum mod, I don't really believe in stopping someone from posting threads if they don't break any rules. If you really want Deyre to stop them message them yourself.

Having mods that are too strict is worse than having mods who are too lenient IMO.

edit: There's probably a good chance this thread will get locked or deleted, but eh, can't say for sure.

This is pretty much why I don't think mods should do anything to threads if they don't break any rules.

Bad mods drive users away and make the overall experience with the forum worse for everyone.

Edit: This assumes everything you said is true

I didn't post that Mutiny on the Bounty clip just to be funny. (Well, okay, there was that.)

The Deyre problem is officially no longer a troll problem. It's a Moderator problem.

By doing this he is indeed lowering the quality of the forums. Free speech is a good thing for society in general, but if Crunchyroll put limits on it here I don't think it'd cause societal harm. I don't think there's a good answer to this question, though, because rules beget more rules and take on lives of their own. I'd kinda support limiting Deyre somehow, but then again he will go away of his own accord eventually. Unless he's immortal and immutable - or a bot. I feel like it wouldn't be all that difficult to write a Deyre bot (not that I know how, or would support such a thing).

I keep saying this, but really no one - and no thing - was ready for the insanity brought by the internet.

This actually makes a lot of sense. Who needs to make more than three threads a day? The probability that someone would truly feel like they really need to make three threads a day is pretty low.
