PBS did a good job on this topic

a recent video from them
How Obamacare premium hikes affect politics and your wallet
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Le3UMXlgT8I

you have a 65 yr old
a single mom
a 27 yr old

pretty much the people who are qualified for subsidies will continue to receive the coverage-- since the subsidy will increase as well more tax from people

the others who do not qualify will pay the higher premium or the penalty

the penalty is cheaper that is for sure

if you have an emergency you can still go to the ER they will treat you insurance or not

that's how the illegals using my state's health service anyway

I know this is veering off the subject, but it's one of those things that just rubs up my spine, like seeing someone misquote Shakespeare, or confuse "Loose/Lose":
With all the talk of whether Trump vs. Clinton '16 is officially one of the Ugliest Presidential Campaigns in History--to go with Adams v. Jefferson 1800, or Andrew Jackson v. John Quincy Adams 1828--did you know that "I approve this message[tm]" actually began as a by-product of what historians interchangeably place at #2 or 3 on the list, George HW Bush v. Michael Dukakis 1988?

Short version of the story, Bush v. Dukakis was the election that not only ushered in campaign slang terms like "Willie Horton" (you think Trump was playing the "inner-city black thug" race card??) but also "Vacuum cleaner", when third-party Religious Right and PAC-committees supposedly not connected to Bush's campaign could do wildly inappropriate attack ads against the Democrats (something about Dukakis being pro-choice...), and the Republican candidate could stand back and say "Not mine, folks..." An alibi that was a little too convenient for some folks to believe.
The new law after the election was that any candidate for any office, local, state or federal, MUST appear onscreen in person in any TV/radio ad produced by his own campaign committee, and say so.
Mythbuster: "I approve this message" does not mean "I like it! ", it means that the candidate has complied with the law and validate-stamped the ad as officially produced by his own campaign. (Ie. he's given it the Good Housekeeping stamp of approval...Now d'you get it?)

That said, I approve of it too. Any disgruntled fanboy who's ever used the "You can't complain about my favorite movie if you've never directed one!" dodge, it works both ways--You don't get to complain about What Those Crazy Voters Did if you didn't.
As it is, we just got our first snow today, so I may vote early before we get our second.

Between a populist and a liar, which one is the best option? I'm curious, I can't vote.

Just remember people whoever you vote for you're also responsible for all the good and bad they will do so keep that in mind if you have any feelings of voter's remorse couple of years down the line.
