I live in the backwaters of New York where they don't have early voting, so I had to wait for today to vote. Did it first thing in the morning.

Same for me. Until today I never had a sticker, because they don't hand them out. At least at my polling station, there is a table where you show your ID to be told what table to go to in order to pick up your ballot. On that table there is a small pile of stickers. Never noticed until this election cycle.

I forgot to register, so I can't vote. But I don't like either of the two running for president, so I probably wouldn't have voted anyways. My parents aren't voting either (my dad feels the same way I do, and while my mom rather have Trump win than Hilary, she doesn't like him enough to vote for him).

This was one of the hardest ballots I've had to mail in.

Local elections were so much easier, and their campaigns were much more professional.

I did my homework last week, printed out a sample ballot, filled it in. Went out early today with no wait. Whipped out my sample ballot and just filled in the bubbles. The whole process took me about 15 minutes.

You really have to do your homework on these amendments. The wording they use is tricky and while it seems you're voting for some thing that sounds good, you might be doing the opposite.

Good for you :)
I don't like any candidate for the general election I'd rather do a write in.

Don't plan on voting anyways...

Voted for the first time today. Didn't care much about the presidential election since we're screwed either way, but the measures and propositions were worth voting on. Also, at the polling place they said I looked too young to vote. Even called me a baby.

The person at the exit in my polling place handed out the "I Voted" sticker to people on the way out. They do not require ID to vote, but do require you to sign next to your printed signature to verify your handwriting in the sign in book.

My polling place checked my CDL, issued voting card put out by the county, ran the CDL barcode emblazoned on the back through a card reader, had me orally repeat my said name and address as written on voter registration card before handing both items of ID back, then had me initial the electronic face of the card reader with actual signature forthcoming.

Damn it, next time I'm just going to use "Redeemable for 1 Point" coupons instead. That should facilitate things............

Oh my. Every time I've voted it's verbally stating:

Street
Number
Name

Here's your ballot.

No id required.

^ My guy at the polling place had green hair, goth / blue / white nail polish on his fingernails, amiable, and likely LBGT (AOK with me, be who you are, don't hide in the closet about it). I asked him if he was into anime. He smiled, said "No". Also said I wasn't the first to ask him that. A gal with fushia hair handed me a "I voted" sticker on the way out.

Feels good to get away from staid stereotypes at voting precincts.

Bloody hell. All I have to do is go to one table to show my state ID, then based on my address am directed to a table. I then give my name, sign, then am given a ballot.
