Plot Summary

The story revolves around the protagonist "I" and the murders and mysteries he encounters. He tries in vain to stay out of the story, but instead he always gets dragged into the center of everything. Even though it seems that he contributes a lot, he always finds out that whatever he did was meaningless in the end.

Enjoying the 1st episode so far.

This one's got the reminiscent Monogatari style and angles, but then again, this IS from Shaft, hence no surprise. Ahoge included. XD

Is there any legal streams for this ova? Was really looking forward to it since its the dynamite Shaft-Nisioisin combo.

Akane's design gives me so many Kanbaru vibes.

Nothing gets me quite so excited as NisioisiN dialogue among very rapid: furling of the brow, smirk of the lip, horizontal rolling of the eyes, and headtilts. Also when you are in a Shaft series and have said dialogue while many meters apart from each other among some crazy ass beautiful scenery. i.e. in a kitchen that is 10x the size of the actual apartment.

Shaft must be busy af with Owarimonogatari S2 coming out next month I think? And idk when Fate/Extra is coming but everyone's expectations are very high for that. I've bought and read the first two Zaregoto LN's so its not like I get anxiety waiting for them to release a new episode of this OVA but man it feels good to see it updated again. Those statues were pretty and those sci fi rooms were so out of place and Shaft, it was cool as hell.

So I watched episode 7 and well almost everything is wrapped up and explained...but there are still quite a few questions left unanswered like the motive. The fight scene this episode was dope, I've been wanting to see it animated since reading the light novel for the second time recently. I think in the next episode we'll find out why the summery of the series is written like it is, and oh boy I really can't wait for the next episode, I really wanna see a certain character again.

I have one complaint in this episode tho. In the more emotional parts of the episode I noticed that there was a extreme lack of emotion showing on the face of the person who was being emotional. They were too stoic and plain that it just seemed so odd.

Huh seems like an overly elaborate plot to kill everyone, it was a cool fight at the beginning though. I like the mystery, setting and animation but I just don't really like any of the characters at all, they're all just so unappealing. Kind of odd to have everything wrapped up already, what is the next episode going to be about? And Akane gets to just walk around free?

That was one hell of a ride, literally. Jun's role from this anime/episode was very entertaining.

Also glad that this episode was longer than the other episodes. The theme of truth and lies had my interest especially with the way they used their dialogues. I might have to rewatch some of the episodes considering the break. I actually watched episode 7 yesterday and decided to watch episode 8 now. Felt like this show would be better to watch as a marathon.

Hoping for more adaptations in the future, maybe in TV format as well.

Huh, well to quote Robot Chicken M Night Shyamalan "what a twist". Really need to rewatch this because I really couldn't keep track of all the characters with so much time between episodes. Jun was pretty fun, would like to go for a ride with her Though one thing about her explanation that I didn't get how could she know about Ii wearing a watch in the painting when she wasn't there to know any of that and couldn't learn it since only Ii and the blue haired girl talked about it?

That final episode really threw me, and I'm still a bit confused, but I think the point got through-
The show left me feeling kind of empty- an existential void that had more questions than answers, and I loved it. Fantastic animation, of course. And music.

Of all Nisioisin's work I've seen animated, I liked this the best. I'm even considering getting the LNs, which is not something I usually do. I'm gonna have to rewatch it now that it's completed- I'm sure I forgot quite a few things in between episodes.

Apparently only first volume was adapated since its called decapitation cycle as the title of first volume ... so thats why you might find this confusing AF

Plus as the MC is always saying : Nonsense ... thats the morale of this series all together ... a bunch of nonsense .
