WOW. I hope we don't get any snow this year

Typically there are maybe less than a handful of days where we get snow, but it's usually all melted within a day or two. I hate when it turns into slush

People forget how to drive in snow and ruin that Christmas spirit.

About the only Christmas stuff I've seen so far has been the holiday departments in various stores.

Thankfully around here the earliest I see Christmas decorations is late November but even that annoys me. Traditionally, Christmas decorations weren't put up until after December 13th (or noon Christmas Eve if you're Catholic), but now it starts as early as the middle of November. Those same people who do the latter are the ones who leave their decorations up until Easter .

If it were up to me anybody who has Christmas decorations up a week after New Year would be tied up with fairy lights and have their house burned down using their tree as a starter.

Nope, not ready, never ready, working in retail has killed the last 2 months of the year for me. Christmas music start like a week before Brown Thursday, I already hate Christmas music enough as it is, so a forced 8 hours is as close to torture that I've ever been especially when some stupid chipmunk thing played like 5 times a night. The people in general just tend to become much more nasty and people attempting to shoplift tends to rise.

I will admit, I do enjoy seeing my Mom react to what I buy her every year, since I tend to (as long as it's in the budget) go a little over board for the stuff I buy for her because of how much she's helped me through out my life so I figure, out of the 3 people I usually have to buy for I can go a little over board for my Mom.

Oh man, I worked retail years ago and that was the worst. When I'm in the mall for Christmas shopping (don't like that either because there are too many people) I just feel sorry for the folks working in the shops because of the customers.

In retrospect, I guess I can say it wasn't that bad when I worked retail because society in general wasn't as easily offended or as entitled back then as it is today

I just love lights. I have had them on my table since September (or something like that)
