well coke in general yes, sugar is better (if you don't drink much because of teeth and diabetes)
Diet coke is the worst kind between sugar or acids/chems (coke zero, pepsi max).

Much can develop or in over the coruse of a long time create cancer.
Like when cooking meat you should have good access to air flow so you don't get it in your system (why most use a fan or other things).

Not that the temperature matters. Coke can link to cancer, but diet coke was never proven to cause cancer. Coke can cause cancer due to the caramel colouring (What makes your coke black) it contains a potentially carcinogenic chemical (4-methylimidazole) It was found to cause cancer in the 2007.

Coke can cause cancer but it isn't likely (It's actually pretty rare to happen) if you drink a small portion.

I'm not a scientist, but that depends on the portion drunk each day and the period of time you've been drinking it. (Months, Days or maybe lifetime)

But what do I know, eh?
You should do some research to be further assured.

Note: as far as I'm concerned, drinking only coke could damage your body.

eh even then its unlikely.

I drink a litre of cola a day (i exercise alot etc to make up for it ...bad habit that helps me cope with stress and depression)

Its highly unlikely even i will get cancer.

Sugar is the best bet for health in small amounts.
Others are worse and can cause very bad stuff that you can't remove.
From brain damage, gasses that can cause a bit of here and there + more (and still a bit bad for your teeth)
same with most other soda's with MD is maybe one of the worse ones out there, I think it mixes a lot of shit in it.
+ addiction and how its not that good of making you less thirsty and you would maybe drink more then whats needed.
and caffeine.

Just please don't drink diet.. its the mix of both and basicly useless.
One of the reasons they was removed once the Zero came out in our country.

simply put, high fructose corn syrup is GARBAGE and one should not ingest it.

aspartame is also GARBAGE that one should not ingest.

its like tossing pressure treated and lacquered wood onto a fire. sure it'll burn but its going to spit out a lot of toxic crap while it does so.

keep an alkaline ph in your body, that promotes health. bacteria and cancer and other bad crap thrive and often require a relatively acidic environment in order to propagate well. long term cumulative benefit.

Drinking Diet Coke hot isn't going to give your mother cancer, for a lot of different reasons. I can list them for you if you like. I do wonder WHY she's drinking it hot, because the two artificial sweeteners used in U.S. Diet Coke varieties (aspartame and sucralose, both FDA approved), break down and lose their sweetness when boiled or exposed to high levels of heat. That's why it's useless to bake with aspartame and why baking with sucralose requires the addition of a small amount of sugar to make cookies. I'm a Type 1 diabetic, have been this way for 35 years and have extensive experience with both diet colas and diet sodas and how they interact with the human body. Saying that drinking diet soda causes cancer only contributes to public ignorance and spreads Internet-based rumors. 'Cancer' is a collection of diseases, not just one and these have many different risk factors, of which diet is only one consideration. If your mother isn't drinking a whole liter of the stuff per day (meaning she isn't getting nutrients from other drinks, like milk, juice and plain water), I wouldn't worry about it. Nor would I worry about her drinking it hot, though I personally can't fathom how she could prefer the muted taste of hot cola over a sweeter cold drink.

It's not the "Coke", it's really all the sugar.

When you drink those sugar-laden drinks you might as well just shove tablespoons of sugar down your throat

google "sugar cancer"

edit: nevermind

It's probably cancer if it's not tea, coffee, or red wine.
