My first taxable job was at like 15 or 16 working at Stone Mountain Park. I made cotton candy. Ended up working there every summer (and weekends during senior year of high school) until I graduated high school. I think they paid us minimum wage or maybe 50 cents more. Everyone made up for it by treating ourselves to free lunch/dinner and short changing the hell out of them once they let you cashier a food stand.

Mine was at Build-a-Bear when I was 18 and i worked there for about 5 years. While it was not what I wanted to do for the rest of my life, it was a huge experience for me and I miss it and the people I use to work with.

Kentucky Kingdom (before they went bankrupt from being sued by that girl's family who lost her feet from the Hellavator ride). I was a ticket sales associate making $6 an hour. I quit when they tried to force me to dance while customers waited at the gate before we opened (I guess there was some issue where they couldn't open on time or something so everyone up front had to leave their post and go dance). I refused and they said if I didn't I should leave and not come back so I did. I joined to be a ticket sales associate, I didn't join to dance a weird Six Flags dance (the one they did commercials on). I read my job summary and requirements and no where did it say I would be required to dance or entertain guests, so I could probably have went above the manager and talked with her manager, but I decided I didn't want to be part of that nonsense and just left.

A cafe job with a really crappy boss. Fat, ugly, mean lady.

I was at school so I could only do weekends. I trained for three days and began to take a weekend shift there. I had a final coming up so I went in and told her I could not make it and to schedule me for the following week instead. She agreed to everything I said and I saw her writing stuff down on her calendar.

The friday after finals week, I went in to submit to her a schedule of my new classes next quarter. It was basically the friday right before I was supposed to show for my next shift, but she had requested copies of everyone's schedules, so I complied.

I went in to hand it to her and the first thing she did when she saw my face was to start yelling at me about how I missed my previous shift and that she would "send me home if it happens again" and that I'm "new and still pulling these stunts." The cafe was like half full and she was literally screaming at me for a good minute or so. All her patrons went quiet and just stared at us. It was just embarrassing and infuriating.

I nodded and uh-huhed and didn't say much. I wanted to fight back but it wasn't worth it. I nodded and agreed my way out of the thing until her tirade ended a few minutes later.

Next day, I didn't even show or tell her I quit. Hope her fat ass had to scramble to find a replacement.

Not long after, I heard she failed a health inspection when she was found using expired ingredients for her drinks and that her kitchen and floors were dirty and dangerous. Cafe closed. She deserved that.

My first job was at a shaved ice place.
I only got hired cause I had connections with the manager.
Job was pretty chill, unless it was during a rush where orders were crazy, and if you solo'd, sucks to be you.
The place eventually went under construction and became a poki place lol.
