Hey everyone I don't really post much, but I honestly em at a loss. I have hit this wall of really wanting to watch anime movies that have a sound message, slice of life possibly, romance, or that even make you cry. So far I have watched

-Harmony
-5 centimeters per sound
-Kimi no Na wa (What's your name)
-Shelter
-Bakemono no Ko (The boy and the beast)
-The Empire of Corpses
-Eden of the East 1 and 2
-Psycho-Pass
-Omoide no Marnie
-Expelled from Paradise
-All of the Bleach movies
-All of the Berserk movies

As you can see I don't have a long list and some of them I wasn't even a big fan of. However, I'am very picky in the fact that I'm a huge fan of beautiful graphics. Don't get me wrong I have watched multiple anime's that have sketchy graphics but when it comes to movies I want the finer details and to be in ah as I watch. Recommend as much as you can please and they don't have to be on crunchy roll Thank you in advance!

If message is what you're looking for you could probably be happy with just about every ghibli film under the sun. You could also try Akira, Ghost in the Shell and, for the upcoming holiday season, Tokyo Godfathers.

Hope this helps.

If you liked 5 Centimetres Per Second, try Garden of Words by the same team.

The Sky Crawlers is a good film. Visually stunning with an interesting view of the world (though some of the hidden messages only start to come out towards the end of the film).

I want to second Tokyo Godfathers; the best Christmas movie I've ever seen, in any format.

Also, the Clannad Movie is quite good; takes a somewhat different take on the material from the TV show, but it is very well done.

Finally, I don't see any Studio Ghibli films on your list. Both Spirited Away and the Secret World of Arriety fit your criteria quite nicely (as do several others).

Ones that I'm not sure would be considered movies (one-shot shorts about 1/2 hr in length that complain a full story):
Santa Company
Kakurenbo: Hide and Seek
Under the Dog

Movies:
Expelled from Paradise
Appleseed
Tiger and Bunny (both movies)
Loups=Garous

I also have to agree with and second (or third or fourth) all the suggestions by others above. Especially the suggestion to add all the Ghibli Movies to your list. There's not a bad one in the bunch.

I also recommend Ghost in the Shell, Tokyo Godfathers, Wolf Children, and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. I also recommend Summer Wars which was done by the guy who did The Boy and the Beast (he also did Wolf Children and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time).

Just pick a Studio Ghibli movie. Any one of them. They bring the feels haaaaard. I recommend My Neighbor Totoro, Grave of the Fireflies, Spirited Away, Nausicaa and the Valley of the Wind, Kiki's Delivery Service, Whisper of the Heart, The Cat Returns, Howl's Moving Castle, or Castle in the Sky. Although as I said you will not go wrong with any of them.
