Reality. Drafting is not something men or women want to take part in. Women have a much easier way out of it because their bodies, can, shockingly bare children.

Why would you go into a Saving Private Ryan scene rather than getting fucked?

Obviously there are going to be some women that would go into combat--but the majority would rather not. Drafting isn't something people go into willingly.

Well sure, nobody wants to be rated but it's still prey unfair to just flat out say that the vast majority of eligible women are going to get pregnant just to avoid the draft. After all, men were perfectly able to avoid the raft by causing injuries to themselves, and only a few ever did.

It's almost like a criminal offense--but what you gonna do, lock up any woman that gets pregnant?

You really would have a hard time proving either one was done to avoid the draft tho.

Maiming yourself is a lot harder than getting pregnant, mate.

You 'equality!' people realize that attempting to draft women (for combat) will result in a large fluctuation of pregnancies from the large hoards of women avoiding the draft and a bunch of fatherless children right?

Women will sign up for the draft, go through training--but when it comes time to get blown up or knocked up they will make obvious choice. Good job, you also just wasted funding.

Women would have to be drafted for non-combat roles. I would support women being drafted in that manner--it's practical.

Or, we could skip into the sunset and pretend this would actually work until the time comes to implement it.

Or you have a bunch of women opting out with flat feet, bone spurs, and other physical exemptions just like men did last time there was a draft. Or conscientiously object. Seems simpler and less costly than getting knocked up. Or worst case enlist for a noncombat role.

And please correct me if I'm wrong, but there's physical fitness requirements for combat duty are there not?

Seems foolish to look over able persons in times of national need.

Or... or you could just do something to yourself other than maiming yourself. You could, deprive yourself of food and/or sleep, fall ill, be fat, there really isn't a shortage of possibilities.

Physical exemption was a lot more difficult than you're making it out to be.

Like I said, I support draft of women for non-combat roles--can volunteer for combat.

Some tried the starving route to look weaker--often didn't work out. You have to take things to the point of significant health issues.

Ooh good idea, if the draft ever happens I'll pretend to think anime is real and that I'll kamehameha the Russians and rasengan the enemy general, and also brag about how I used the dragonballs to gain immortality.

Are you saying you'll feign insanity? That's probably the least effective method we named here.

Have you been to a university campus lately? I bet you'd find a shitload of health issues related to over/under-eating there. Those are not in short supply these days.

Well some of what you said, is some of the reasons why america can't move forward.
But at the same time, I do understand what you are trying to say.

Also mental warfare can be risky as just being of another sex (and most likely young and "healthy") can be rough for others or/and themselves.
Of course not everyone and more elite squads have been trained to ignore such things.
But a younger crowd... not at all.

From the glorious to the most evil destructive things, it can be an total defeat on the inside.
and there is a reason why some fight for others while they are home or running away to safety, not in the middle of the "danger zone".

If drafting means going into war?

Nah, what I would actually do if the draft happened tomorrow is object to fighting for moral reasons and ask if I can get a non-combat role instead.

I also have asthma anyways, so that might help my case in wanting a non-combat role.

But I don't see the draft happening anytime soon, so I'm not concerned.

Health issues and significant health issues are two very separate things--would you qualify to play a sport? (Hint: most would)

Yeah I guess there wont be a draft where you are anytime soon. I mean, whoever heard of a military draft in a yaoi fanfic?

I'm a decently fit guy, but many others are not. Looking around me I can already see 5 people who wouldn't pass this test you are giving.
