Having read this argument I wanted to give my opinion as well: While I do like the depths of TypeMoon*s stories, having read all of the vn of F/SN, I am still happy about any attention the fate franchise gets, fanservice being pronounced or not. On the other hand I am also still hoping for a release of the mobile game internationally, since I want to consume all there is to the fate franchise.

That was quite an intense story going on. Seeing FSN's Lancer as Caster is pretty strange there, but in the end he sure did give Yamato a run for his money when it comes to wood-style jutsu. Anyway, Leff really has made a mess of things and poor Olga suffered for it, all while Saber goes evil and only Caster, Ritsuka, and Mash were in the way, and the battle scenes are great as to be expected out of the Fate franchise. Those fights between Caster and Rider are nicely done, as well as that battle between Caster and Archer, and then Mash and Saber.

Anyway, that was a nice start to deal with the first order, but seven more remain. I expect this to become a TV series, probably in Fall 2017 since all Fate franchise stuff generally starts in the fall season.

Pretty fun ride. Fun take on some of the usual Servants.

the fights we're well done and got pretty dark near the end.

Caster vs lancer was the highlight for me

I wouldn't mind seeing more.

anyone know who the servant that let mash be a Servant?

Well, this was a pretty pleasant surprise. I really enjoyed UBW for the most part but am not in any way immersed in the Fate world or lore at all. Thus, as a relative newcomer, it was pretty enjoyable to see different sides and roles of the different characters. I also actually liked the MC here. He certainly isn't overly defined but he's also not a completely useless loser or obnoxious insta-god tier like we see far too often. Mash was really likable as well. Good stuff so far and I'm eager for more.

I'm wondering the same thing.

Also curious as to how Lancer is a Caster this time around, Dual Class Hero?

I think something in this myth, he has the qualfications to be caster as well.

We got Rider
this time as a lancer too..

Fate/Grand order does crazy thing like that.

With Fate/GO, most servants can be summoned as any class.

That was kinda.....meh?

I mean, its always nice to see Saber, Archer and Lancer again but it was basically a few extended cameos slapped around the 3 sentence plot of a mobile game. Plus a cute animal mascot because obviously every show needs one these days.

I actually found it kind of creepy. It's face was too human-like to me to be cute.

I wasn't expecting much here, and im glad i kept my expectations low, but Lancer was cool, good to see bro-lancer again, even if he goes by caster now. Haha, Shinji died again, glad i watched it for that bit.
