Do you have any idea how much anti-Semitism the Jewish culture faced over the last six hundred years just because a few people with poor reading comprehension couldn't tell the difference between "Money-lenders" at the temple and Money-changers?"

(Money-changers in the temple were necessary for paying Roman taxes, because, with little numerical mathematical system, shekel-to-Caesar coin currency-conversion had to be done by hand with an abacus-like board.
Naturally, like the tax-collectors, any changer who was in the business was seen as being a "traitor" to the Romans, and having changers at the temple marketplace was a potent political symbol of how much the Hebrews had accepted occupation. And how political throwing them out was.)

Except that the account doesn't just talk of Jesus throwing out the money-changers. It wasn't some political statement against the Romans or Roman occupation. Things were being bought and sold in the temple, such as livestock, which is why the money-changers were needed. The accounts states that he drove out the money-changers, and any that bought or sold. He chased out the livestock and overturned the tables. He told those that sold doves not to make his fathers house a house of trade. The fact that there was a marketplace in the temple was the thing he was mad about, not about Roman occupation. In fact, he also said to pay back Caesars things to Caesar regarding paying taxes.
