Usually works.

In the words of Trump: "Wrong." What's all this business about being honest and upfront about it? If fictional television and movies have taught me anything, it's that you have to be as ambiguous and over-the-top about it as you can be. In the end, the other party should be wondering if you really asked them out or not.

Oh my.

I was just stating from my point of view. I'm someone who is incredibly dense when it comes to guys being vague/ambiguous. If I have to wonder if I was asked out, chances are, I would have already turned them down, no questions asked.

Haha. You forgot to read the /s tag. Yeah, I agree, being upfront is always the way to go. I mean, you don't have to ask in any pointed, direct fashion, but it's probably best to get your intentions out there up front.

LMAO see there! It was taking me a hot minute to figure out what the /s was until you mentioned it. I still feel like a doofus right now.

Also to add, roundabout riddles and beating around the bush is really confusing. Guys really love to test my patience with that part.

I understand that. Really, "games" in general can get on anybody's nerves. On the other hand, I can understand why they could get a little gun shy. Dating can seem like feeding time in a lion's cage sometimes. Heck, I've been out of the game for a few years (career/life reasons), and it feels like a frightening endeavor.

Well, I used to get asked mostly (due to being extremely shy) but I had mild success asking a few times through the years...(all ages are approximate)...

At age 10: "Wanna be my Player-1 at the arcade today and grab some pizza afterward?"
At age 15: "Sabbath is coming to town, wanna go together?"
At age 27: "Finals are coming up, wanna go to Witch City and study together?"
At age 32: "After our shift ends wanna go catch a movie? Nothing beats a 2 am showing!"

Those are the few successes I remember...the failures I choose to forget . It's better that way, trust me .

Is this like, the Wayne's World theory?

Garth Algar: Uhm, Wayne? What do you do if every time you see this one incredible woman, you think you're gonna hurl?

Wayne Campbell: I say hurl. If you blow chunks and she comes back, she's yours. But if you spew and she bolts, then it was never meant to be.

Well, I was kind of hoping for more talking and less vomit, but...

But now I feel old. Man, I saw that movie back when it first was available to rent. On VHS.

That's not what he said. While he might have just left out the "on," I believe he was using "Crunchroll" as way to say "you Crunchyroll users."

Bring something up with the person. I remember talking about how I wanted to go ride a roller coaster since I haven't been on one since I was a kid. Next thing I know, this girl and I are spending the whole day at an amusement park.
