I haven't seen any decent deals for the past 5 Black Fridays, or stocks for good merchandise are extremely limited.

I was contemplating getting a 4K television.
But, I bought that last Sunday (since the PS4 Pro is coming out this upcoming Thursday). I'm impatient at times.
It does help that Best Buy had it on sale for about $799.

3D compatible? (They come in handy with a PS4, when you use it for other things.)

In our area, stores like Best Buy are creating more of a PROTEST against Black Friday, and closing over the long weekend--
Not only against the commercialism, but also for the employee-relations of not making them work night shifts after Thanksgiving.

When I was growing up, kiddos, "Black Friday" was called The Day After Thanksgiving, and it was a day for staying in with pajamas, snacking on cold turkey, pumpkin pie for breakfast, and watching "March of the Wooden Soldiers".
So how did it become National Shopping Stampede Day? Well, that became wishful-thinking on the part of the stores, after they saw the 80's news stories on Cabbage Patch Kids, ColecoVision and Tickle Me Elmo, and thought they could "cause" deranged customer stampedes every year as sacred tradition. It was our patriotic duty as customers to turn into Walking Dead hordes once a year, to aid domestic trade.
Ask yourself--What exactly is an advertised "Doorbuster sale" meant to visualize?: A nice long orderly line of polite customers?

More than likely: NOTHING!

I'm probably not leaving the house (except to exercise around the neighborhood).

IF there's some Super Amazing, Run, Don't Walk, Deal of the Day on some Anime-centric websites, MAYBE I'll buy something, but no concrete plans to buy anything.

(I used to work retail so Black Friday doesn't exactly conjure the happiest of memories. )

As someone who works in retail, I know what I'm getting on black friday: the punishment I so richly deserve. Because I'm a terrible person. Don't believe I'm a terrible person? Ask the people who scream at me because we don't have any of the doorbuster TV's left, 12 hours after we opened.

Yaayyy!! It's like a practice run for hell.

Well Half Price Books is offering a first edition of The Descent of Man by Charles Darwin for the oh so convenient price of $20,000 on their ad, so there's that...

But I prefer to wait for Cyber Monday deals because I hate the crowds during Black Friday.

Black friday online sale will start on thanksgiving for those who would like to avoid the mobs and traffic

some retailers also offer free shipping for online orders

THE XBOX ONE S IS ONLY FOR 250?

costco is selling the minecraft xbox one s bundle for $240
sam club is selling it for $250
Kohls is selling it for $250 but you will get $75 kohl gift card from them as well so it's $175 for the bundle (but what would you use the $75 gift card on ? i don't know anything i would want at Kohl though

they have similar bundles for the PS4 slim around $250 for the Uncharted 3 bundle.. or the one with an extra controller for $280

I buy stuff @ NewEgg and they are pimping their Black November sale right now. I just got a BD burner for $40.... If I can get a good deal on a video card I might grab it.... I just missed out on a GTX970 for $151 . . . open box. I see SSDs are only $75 for 240GB

a New 240GB SSD normal price is around $65 at the moment maybe they will have some on sale for $20 or $30 ? i need a new HDD for my 6+ year old laptop

i guess these 5400rpm HDDs will only last this long
