I think he was sort of upset when he didn't exist anymore.

The music is pretty nice. But never beat it though. I only got the tech combination with the frog and gave up there

Chrono got triggered when he wasn't in Chrono Cross. I know a lot of people liked Chrono Cross but it was only ok to me.

Chrono Cross got a little sidetracked when it established what was going on.
Gets It.

Chrono Cross was amazing.............
just not as a sequel to Chrono Trigger.

I'm a ridiculous CT fanboy. At first, CC enraged me. How dare they do that to my beloved title!? But, as time progressed, I played it a few more times and got to the point where I think it's a really great game (especially if you play the Radical Dreamers "visual novel" type game). However, I still cannot justify it as a reasonable sequel to Chrono Trigger. Yes, I know that in the DS version they've brought in the Dream Devourer (Lavos' "new" form in Chrono Cross). The story is consistent now, I guess. But the play style and all just didn't have the same "feel".

-----------

As for "Did Chrono ever get Triggered?" - plenty of times, have you seen him when he extends his arms and legs as if he's been shocked to the point of paralysis?! T-R-I-G-G-E-R-E-D~

Chrono Trigger is one of my all-time favorites for many reasons. However, i have completed it once. So, my goal in someday is to do 100% perfect run, which includes collecting all weapons, enemy info, endings and such. Note that it's DS version. While i've planned to do it so few times, i never seem to give myself time. Mainly because i need to do so much search in order to not miss anything.

Anyway, while i never played Chrono Cross (it never got released in Europe), i seen some clips but mainly listened it's music. Still, while it may be great, i just wish CT would get a direct sequel. And then there's that "if we want a sequel, we should buy more!" thing said how DS version didn't sell that well.
