Glass for everything. Soda? Glass bottle. Beer, in a Maß or Stein. Liquor and Schnaps, drinking glass.

Maybe only thing different in terracotta coffee mug I guess.

This guy gets it. I also buy my milk in glass bottles. I say it tastes better. Others might say there's no chemical change happening, and therefore no change in taste. I say those people are wrong and that I don't need scientific proof. It's a fact.

To be honest, I never drunk soda out of a glass bottle.

If you want to try some, try the Hispanic Coca-Cola. Expensive, but they use real sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup. IT IS SO GOOD. I don't drink soda now though.

Does not matter but drink via straw or say goodbye to your teeth.

It actually depends on where I am or how much I feel like drinking. Sometimes a can is better. While other times a bottle is better. A lot of times bottles are more convenient since you can put the lid back on while cans you can't, unless you pour the can into a bottle.

Haha, I know that feeling. Glass does make everything taste better! I am a man of science, yet this is something that eludes my grasp. I do know for beer, the color of the bottle does change how light effects it though (which ends up changing the flavor, why bottles are green/brown). There may actually be a reason behind it!

I've read a bit about that as well. There's a movement among some craft breweries to switch to canning so the beer gets as little light exposure as possible. With modern metallurgy I don't think cans affect taste as much as they used to, but I do still prefer bottles. Cans always make me feel like I'm slumming it.

Prefer bottle, but cans seem to be cheaper, overall.

Depends entirely on the drink. But in general, a glass bottle is best, at least that is how I remember enjoying pop the most as a kid. I don't touch the stuff now, so I guess any bottle over can as I can't think of any drinks from a can that isn't pop or beer.

For me, soda in cans or bottles. Beer, bottles only. Water: store-bought bottled, or filtered tap-water in cups. Wine, from a glass bottle into a wine glass (or just from the bottle), not from those wine boxes. Iced tea: if I make it myself in cups. If I buy it already made, from a bottle (and it has to be unsweetened tea).
