Is it set to default 1080p on CR's iOS app if I'm a premium member? or is the quality the same through and through regardless of whether you're a member or not?

I've moved this to the support forum for iOS. It's my understanding that the resolution will adapt depending on the connection quality.

I'm pretty sure it depends on the iPhone resolution
Like iPhone 6 is 750p so chances are its 720p but it MAY upscale to 1080p but I doubt it
If you have an iPhone 6 Plus it'll be 1080p

And like loreen said it depends on your connection, such as using 4G, LTE or a stable wifi connection

Also while looking at the app it only has 3 modes, low, high and auto

No it only supports 1080 for computer devices try watching keijo any episode and the lines are all choppy especially noticabld when they talk but then watch that same episode on funimation where they allow 1080 and you'll see how smooth the lines are and what a pleasure it is to watch anime on funimation
