Guys, in all honesty, I'm just worried because she's a relatively popular girl on campus. A few weeks back, she threaten to ruin my reputation by spreading rumors I have STDs, or things of that nature if me and her were to split. Like, I really don't know what to do. If I stay with her, I lose my hobbies. If I leave her, I ruin my life relatively speaking.

Although, my roommate told me that I should record ALL conversations I have with her, and then have that as evidence. Do you guys think that would be enough if I had to show to the police?

Wow she sounds like a total ... pregnant dog. (Trying to keep it PG here)

Yeah, record her being manipulative so that you have something to defend yourself with. If anything you can get the video of her being a jerk spread around and you can ruin her reputation instead if she goes through with her threats.

Before you break up with her show her the video and tell her you'll spread it around if she spreads rumors, but keep a copy of the video somewhere else in case she does something stupid like tries to destroy your phone.

That's what I would do anyways, but what you do is up to your judgement. I don't think the police are a good place to go if she starts spreading rumors about you though.

In all likelihood though, she'll probably just be mad and tell her friends, so I wouldn't worry about her starting rumors too much.

You wanna know what's funny? I'm a relatively decent sized guy at 6ft, and she's only 5'2 and maybe 110lb. Ironically, I'm a bit more anxious/scared of her than I am of random dudes I see at my gym that are like 6'5, 200lb.

well, she keeps on telling me I should be doing better things in my free time such as cooking, building stuff like a "real man" should? It's pretty irritating when she WAS NOT like this until the honeymoon phase was over.

Well that's stupid for two reasons

1.) You, as a human being, will never be able to be productive during your every waking hour and neither can she. We physically need recreation and entertainment, and only an idiot would say you aren't a "real man" because you succumb to the same needs as literally all the rest of mankind.

2.) At first I thought she her motivation for this manipulation was based around forcing you to fit a masculine stereotype, but then I read the thing where she expects you to cook. Cooking is (in social stereotypes) the woman's job, so she really has no business whatsoever pushing this "real man" shit on you if she expects you to do the cooking so much to the point where you're literally unable to have time to yourself. Cooking isn't even a "manly" thing to do. I cook a hell of a lot, and I'm basically a real life bishi, so I should know. It sounds like she's just some lazy idiot who expects you to do everything for her.

Well to be fair, the 6'5 guys aren't out to get you, so you shouldn't be scared of them.

To quote a previous poster, you just need to
and don't let women walk all over you, otherwise you'll end up in more situations like these.

I'm voting on the she needs to go bye bye option.

Any sort of "You have to do this" or "not do this" will only lead to major problems. Even if things appear to calm down it will still likely just simmer away... Until it boils again over something else. Most likely a stupid thing too.

Last girl I was with had a "You need to do this and do this now" thing. I pretty much had no say in anything whats so ever.
She wanted me to live with her before week 3 started and before week 5 started I needed to buy a ring and propose. When i didn't do it the following weeks it was brought up by her pretty much constantly. When? Sooner rather then later!!!! etc.
I put up with it until it turned into, One night I left the room to get a glass of water and didn't instantly return (it was a hot night at like 1am and I sat on the floor of my lounge room patting my cat.) She made out I had gotten in a taxi and was going to another girls house to cheating on her...

I broke up with her in public and she screamed at me for like 10mins I chose a popular place with CCTV also didn't give any hints either. (not that I was worried about getting hurt.) Then she tried to do the I'm sorry cute thing. I'm sorry I'll be better... I said nope and said bye bye.
Few weeks later she decided to start saying she was pregnant but showed me zero evidence. (because her new boyfriend who I doubt existed apparently hated my guts.) Apparently if you tell a doctor you are pregnant they don't do any tests just agree with you. Even though I knew it was next to impossible for her to ever have kids.
She has a bad case of Polycystic ovary syndrome. Her last cycle was over 12 months before I even met her.

"make false accusations" If she goes down that route then you are pretty much stuffed. Police wont do much as they will investigate you if she said you raped her etc.
Any chance you can request a transfer to a completely new area?

I definitely think that if she's threatening to make accusations like that you should record your conversations. I also think that you should end it as soon as you get even a little bit of dirt on her. Some people may believe her wild accusations, but in the eyes of the law (as well as those of the citizen of halfway decent intelligence) you are innocent until proven guilty.

Unfortunately in a lot of rape accusation cases it's guilty until proven innocent.

We live in an age where emotions rule over logic and reasoning for a good portion of the population, so it's possible a rape accusation could ruin your life, even if you're proven innocent.

I dunno, I have a hard time believing a court of law would be so shitty. Plus recent events seem to suggest to me that if anything it's the other way around, like Brock Turner's case or all those times women came forth with convincing assault allegations that had been silenced previously. I mean we've had, what, 5 of those in the past 12 months?

You have a point, but there's always going to be those people who are going to believe the victim, even if your charges are thrown out because vulnerable women and barbaric men.

At the very least rape allegations will damage your reputation, which is why people really need to shut up about rape cases and keep it confidential until there's an actual conviction.

This is true, but as I said I believe these people to be firmly within the minority and would still recommend OP throws her nasty ass out.

As of right now, I haven't responded to any of her texts or phone calls. I've been chilling at my school's library with some of my boys after our workout today. Based on everything I've read from you guys, I think it'd be best to cut it off ASAP, AND have some witnesses and evidence via recordings/messages/emails.

Uhhhhh, right now, she has no idea where I'm at, but if I'm breaking up with her, it'll probably be somewhere near supervision of adults/teachers. I also spoke to the librarian, and she said she'll her phone camera recording if she confronts me in here.

Like I said
Kill her
You don't need that kind of negativity in your life
Is she wife material? If not you can live and tbh she doesn't sound stable enough to be wife material considering she was gonna spread rumors about you
