Alternative Girls is a turn-based rpg that is fully voiced (except for the player, since there's no assumption to the player identity). It consists of 12 different girls, each with different combat abilities and personalities. there's story part, and unlike deresute or school idol festival, the characters are fully animated, as seen in the promotional video.
the home screen is actually a virtual home, which you can explore using VR headset, or by simply swiping the screen. all the girls in the virtual home are fully animated and respond to your touch

gameplay

this is a turn-based rpg. you have up to 4 characters in your team, and up to 3 enemies.
each battle consist of 3 waves of enemies, and the turn based is determined by the program (maybe there's a speed formula, but i havent checked).
there's 5 different elements in the game:

much like pokemon, each element has a strength and weakness to other elements, which results in the character dealing more, or less damage depending on the enemy type.
新月 (new moon / crescent moon) and 満月 (full moon) are strong against each other
紅月 (red moon) is strong to 碧月 (green moon)
碧月 (green moon) is strong to 蒼月 (blue moon)
蒼月 (blue moon) is strong to 紅月 (red moon)
basically, red > green, green > blue, blue > red

each character have 4 different skills available during battle. stronger skills have a longer cool-down.

some characters have ultimate skills, which is fully animated and look awesome.
the only draw-back is the long 4-turn cool down

soul-link

sometimes during the battle, the characters will support each other. when that happens, the attack becomes critical and deals far more damage than usual. it also never misses, even if the character is under confusion
(can attack itself or other party members)

the dungeon

i'm fairly new to this part, but there's also an option to explore the dungeon. you need to pick your diva, and the diva must be the leader of the party.

other game options: changing your character clothes

depending on the cards you have, you can change your characters clothes.
you can choose between a school uniform, casual clothes, etc. if you have 3-4 stars cards, you may also be able to change to other, more premium clothes. you can also let them wear hats, if you so choose.

stamina training

even when you're not playing, you can still train your character to improve their hp

anyways, this game is pretty fun! the downside is the gacha. rare cards are actually pretty rare.
(which is why quite a few people are raging over on the review section of itunes lel)

by the way, VR is not limited to the home screen. sometimes they also have VR for event story
(the Halloween event preview was great!)

Interesting but I have issues with Kanji, it's not my strongest suit . And while I can more then read a newspaper written in the stuff I think the rapid reading and comprehension required to game in the stuff is right now out of my league.

Still this is one of the few phone games that got my attention.

you don't need to know kanji - everything (well, almost everything) is read out for you.
(yes, even enemies that can talk are voiced)
the interface is so intuitive, that you might not even need to know Japanese (though you'd be missing on the story part)
those red / green / blue moon are colored, so it's easy to tell which is which.
edit: by the way, there's currently a log-in event going on. started today
(and for people who are starting out, they get a ticket for 1 random (i think) 4-star card.

Well if most of it is voiced that might not be too bad.
