Medical marijuana will help a lot of people with real problems now recreational is another story Colorado DUI rate has tripled, accidents under the influence of marijuana has skyrocketed and people still buy it illegally because its cheaper :(

my state allowed medical marijuana but said no on recreational

unlike alcohol.. if some punks were driving under the influence of weeds

by the time you took him/her back to the station to do the blood test it's not in the blood stream anymore.. unlike alcohol..

so this might be a problem

i think cops might have to start carry blood test kits in the car or something ?? so they can do the blood test right at the scene so they can charge them right there and then

Driving after smoking? I think you under estimate the power of "Couch Lock"

I say make it legal and tax the crap out of it

THC stays in your system for months. They have invented a breathalyzer for weed though... google it.

I think its awesome....when ever I need something now I just go get it from a pot head (if someone has not got to them first). Those guys will give you their wallet and car keys without a second thought - our state has become very generous. Pot is like the ultimate control drug and they keep making it more powerful. I think where up to 38% now at least that is what is advertised at the new gas and grow down the street - that's right get gas and grass at the same time.

I think going down town and kicking a pot head just might become the next national past time. They are easy to find follow the smoke smell (nasty).

So I say go for it make legal everywhere....The job market in my state has really opened up because most people won't hire the pot heads. I just moved up in my job after my boss and his boss where fired for not being able to pass the drug testing. Not to mention a lot of people moved here after they made it legal. I think they moved here to sell it but now our market is saturated so we have an influx of street people. I saw a homeless person with a sign that said - will work for weed yesterday.

The only drawback is we have had a significant increase in traffic accidents (154%) sense we made it legal but really hard to prove causality. That will take a few more years before hard statistics have an effect on legalization. I guess when you see the car or a van smoking like a chimney you probably should avoid it (not kidding).

Another draw back is we have had a influx of California people so our taxes are going up and property costs are on the rise as they try to turn our state into California. Now that their is a big demand for homes and expansion our vast wild areas are disappearing at an alarming rate. Soon the only thing that will be left will be our public lands (our front range between the cities is almost gone).

We have had our universities here double in size as college kids flock to our state to fill that Rocky Mountain High.

They say the tax money is going to education but we still have to pay a fee to ride school buses to school?????

One thing I didn't like about California was people smoking marijuana in line to get tickets for Blizzcon. You have no where to go and you have to deal with that horrid smell and migraine inducing fumes. I have zero problem if people decide to kill their emotions with marijuana, but I vote no in public. If someone does it in public they should be jailed. It's not like smoking cigarette's, sure cigarette's do smell bad, but it isn't as defined and horrid a smell and does not give me migraines unless I am standing right next to the source. Marijuana I can smell before I even enter someone's house (from the outside). Opening their door you get hit with migraine inducing fumes, maybe it is just me, but I can't see how people can stand such things. Maybe it's like a diminishing effect (such as if you work in a kitchen at first the food is all you'll smell but eventually you won't notice it). The general public should not be subject to such things though. Do what ever you want in your own place is my opinion on the matter.
