I'm not sure if such a thread existed. If something unreasonable occurs, will you get into a fight or will you walk away?

Depends entirely on if it's worth fighting for or not.

Well I try to avoid conflicts but if it's about a friend of mine I usually get pissed.

I don't care to fight because fighting is a waste of time and energy, but I get forced into a fight they'll probably be leaving in a stretcher or with several broken bones.

Well if i'm forced to fight then most likely i might have to kill to defend myself, because i'm weaker than most people so therefore, i have to fight with every inch and ounce of my life just to stay alive for a little bit longer.

We talkin' physical? I find a lot of people crumble like wet tissues just through talking loudly at them. If not they become enraged and you can lead them around by the nose. Ruling out solutions is a good way to force yourself into a box.

Hear me out a little, if you've never been in a fight, one day you might see someone else in an unfair brawl, and not intervene because 'I've never fought before.' The world isn't as nice as we'd like it to be, but if a coworker gets violent, or there's injustice in my neighborhood, I want to know I am willing and capable to intervene.

And on the smaller side of things you'd be amazed how often you see people who avoid even verbal disputes get backed into a metaphorical corner in my office, and then they hold it in for years until they explode. And that explosion is often violent. Fight a little for your own rights today, to avoid a bigger fight later. Life is a struggle, not an after school special.

Not really, it's not worth getting into fights and getting hurt over something petty.

If it's someone you care about then sure, but if not then not worth it.

Fighting? Like physically? No, that is for the weak minded people. Words are a better way of fighting, so if someone wants to "fight" then I am just gonna walk away.

People look at those who do not fight a coward, right? I call those people smart and careful.

Reminds me of this one time in High School where a 10th grader was taunting a 12th grader and the 12th grader snapped and punched them in the stomach so hard it left a crater on the wall.

Needless to say the thought of intervening didn't even occur to me.

The 10th grader has it coming since they were a jerk anyways. Good times.

I agree with you on almost everything, but I don't agree with you on the weak minded comment. Fighting with words is great and resolves problems more effectively then physical violence, but there are times that physical confrontation is needed for the solution that does not make you a weak minded person it just means that you ran out of solutions to end it peacefully.
