I call them anime with dramatic elements. But for some reason even as a 19 year old when i loved the realism in some of the animations i watched. Well its not realistic but it felt realistic back then. Like Rurouni Kenshin to mention a few anime that had and focused on personal relationship with the characters they fought. Now there exists people in real life too i think, but i have mostly talked with them on the internet. Through youtube and stuff, they argued for example that Final Fantasy 7, which have some of those psychological elements that it was about some emo person who whines.

So it makes me wonder if they say this because they feel insecure or something. I am not sure why they hate it, is it because it tries to sturr up emotions inside you as a response when you have to relate or watch the characters in a show?. Is it because if they watch too much of it that they will feel like they have to be emotional too?.

I also want to apologise for writing much bad threads lately. I try to minimize my usage. This is more or less a discussion thread i need answer too. Whether you believe i write this to troll, its legit argument because this literally exists out there with people who have the idea that emotion or dramas is sorta the black sheep of the entertainment industry, which it isnt if it can be done right. So my argument is why some people seem to dislike it so much?

Some people are less emotional than others and they may not identify with the more emotional content. However, to dismiss a work only because of its delivery of strong emotions is immature. If emotion is accompanied by a good plot and a well-done characterization I don't see a problem there. Feelings are part of human nature and they have an important role in your existence. And as you said, I do believe some are insecure regarding emotions, I think they are afraid of becoming vulnerable - that, however, is a larger issue which extends beyond watching anime to various life situations.

I think i'm qualified to answer this question.

You pretty much sumed up my feelings on it except it's not that i'm insecure as much as asking for help is taboo for me so when I see these characters do it I become physically sick part of me knows why but an even bigger part of me just can't except it so I mentally surpress it.

People like me can never truelly be happy no matter how hard we may try and we can't talk about our feelings to try and get help because we perceive that as weakness. Asking for help would make us become what we hate.

I need to know from people who like emotional anime why they like it because knowing that would enable me to better accept there tastes and even prevent me from hating them for it.

Communication and willingness to accept and change is all the world really needs.

I'm broken and that's what makes me brave you gotta take the good with the bad and what doesn't kill you stronger blah blah blah.

Okay people like this... people who aren't comfortable being emotionally vulnerable and emotionally intimate are uncomfortable seeing that in shows.

I hate to be like "that's wrong," but... it sort of just is wrong. It's counterproductive, because, yes... communication and understanding and cooperation are what the world needs.

And some people have figured out that when a person is emotionally vulnerable, they can just stomp on that person and make off with that person's stuff. And some people have seen that happen, and decided that it's the victim's fault in that situation, and that it's bad to be emotionally vulnerable.

Those people are wrong - ethically, at least. And that is important. It's important to live ethically and respect each other.

The internet is just full of rude people who want to bash each other over stupid things. That just needs to stop, because it's not productive. Being rude, and being uncomfortable with emotion, and wanting to fight... that just drags everyone down.

So don't be like that. You need to learn to be okay with emotions.
