So, do you think introverted people are more arrogant than extroverted people? Are you an introvert and have you ever been viewed as arrogant and possibly rude by others? What are your thought?

Enjoy!!!

While I do hold the opinion that there is little correlation between the introvert/extrovert scale and arrogance, it can be generalized that introverted people, due to less experience with social cues, can be perceived as moderately rude/arrogant stemming from an inability to adjust to every upcoming societal fad.

As such, arrogance, in its part, also results oftentimes from being misunderstood, or the shortcomings in being able to express oneself in a kind manner. This can be seen in several shonen anime, for example; disliking a character due to their off-putting personality, then learning of their backstory and feeling sympathy.

Well, introverts typically express themselves minimally, so it would be hard to tell if they are arrogant or not.

Depends. I don't think there's a valid relationship between the two, but I could be wrong.

People are arrogant for a variety of reasons. There is no "more than the other", it depends on the individual. An introverted person can be arrogant because they may be intelligent and feel co-dependent loudmouths are beneath them. A popular extrovert can be arrogant by believing that because they're popular, their worth is higher than others.

People have to stop the ignorance of thinking a label defines a whole group. Too many people hear a label and stop thinking, or paint everyone with a broad brush. It's stupid.

I'm an introvert and all I get are people telling me I should be more concerned with everyone else and going out to parties and hanging out with other people and that it's sooooo much better. I've also got people who try to push me around because I don't care to talk much and stay quiet. Do I feel like I'm better than them? In certain areas, yes, but the same goes to extroverts as well. Two halves of the same coin.

I've met both types of people and the only way to tell if an introvert is arrogant is through actions. Introverts are more concerned with themselves and metal states, so talking to them isn't always the best route to go if you want an answer, though some are totally fine spilling their guts if you're close enough with them. Otherwise you'll have to observe how they handle a situation to determine their views.

In my experience introverts have a much more intellectual arrogance about them while extroverts have a much more 'gusto' arrogance. I think they both are susceptible to egos just for very different reasons. Introverts tend to see extroverts as simple-minded or shallow, while extroverts see introverts a stuck up or 'holier than thou'.

No. I'm an introvert. When I was in college, after I did make a couple of friends, they toldl me that at first when they'd see me around they thought I was stuck-up because I always seemed dressed up, was always on my own and didn't seem to want to talk to anyone (but after they got to know me they realized I was a good and not-arrogant person).

When I met my best friend in highschool she told me that she thought I was that way until we wore the same Phantom of the Opera shirt on our first day of poetry class. We clicked instantly after that.I guess don't judge a book by it's bitch face and silence.
