its harder to dislodge a sitting president, and if he can manage to do a couple things that are popular with the masses... itll be 8 years for sure.
not 4. a lot of people seem to have their hearts set on 4 years now lol

Four years would be a blessing brought on by him fantastically failing, and behaving like a child that no one votes for Rs again. But, eight years is the most realistic. I have to agree.

Whether you wanted Trump or not, we can all agree this election was a lot of fun, right? Dank memes, shattered dreams, and confused elites. It was fucking great. I didn't even vote for Trump and I was laughing like a maniac all night. The guy basically single-handedly beat down the media, the academy, and his own fucking party on the way to winning against practically every poll prediction out there. The guy deserves some credit, even if you think he's the anti-christ. That was god-damn exciting.

When I was a kid, my dad would get angry when he had to, so I grew up with a genuine traumatized distate of anger--I couldn't believe that people I shared DNA with could be capable of such things. There was no place for it in the human condition, and I was appalled to see anyone use it and humiliated to be seen using it:
I called it "the Caveman Poison", that humans were failures for not having enough intelligence to leech out of their system, and thought those who strung themselves out on it were "drug addicts" who should be treated as such--You got a better name for "adrenaline"?

Well...now you get to see what it looks like. Let's watch it Make America Great Again, or at least that's what the drooling undershirted drug-addicts think it will do.

I don't know. You seem pretty angry. You might want to leverage some of your supposedly superior intelligence to effect a more diplomatic air. I don't know how serious you are, but no one wants to hear talk about DNA and failed humans. That's rationale for slavery and such. Take the Christian approach and recognize that these flaws in other people are also your own, and we should accept and improve upon them with humility. I don't consider myself qualified to preach, but I think it doesn't hurt to mention a healthier mentality sometimes.

We had a local independent person running in our state. He got 20.8% of the votes

I would like to tip my hat to you and all those who posted that Carlin meme or other "why bother voting" style things. Congrats! At least I tried. I may have failed, but not even trying.. bravo. Enjoy your lack of funds.

Why should I vote when California electoral votes is always one way?

Look at the CA votes this time. What do you see?

... and now some Silicon Valley entrepreneurs want to fund a secession of California from the Union.

They call themselves "patriots" but I suggest they look up the dictionary definition

Thing is, he IS the candidate the Republicans wanted--The voters, if not the politicians.
Republicans believe that Being Angry will impress people, which a lot of people believe on Friday night. They're usually wrong, and why they wish for a world where people WILL be impressed if you throw insults around, and joke about what you'd love to do to all those weird people out there "causing" all those problems that bother you on the TV news.

What do I see? I see someone who had been posting online about how they didn't feel like they should vote, and arguing with others about how their vote wouldn't matter, either. Even if you were 100% sure of your state, your words may have had impact elsewhere - at least, I assume you thought they would, otherwise why would you post them? For giggles?

Again, enjoy your lack of funds.

You seriously think that my discourse affects that many? You're saying other people had their nonvotes based on what I said?

Are you giving me too much credit or just looking to point a finger?

I didn't like Trump, but I disliked Hillary even more... That doesn't mean I was going to give Trump a vote!

Oh, and by the way, the dollar ROSE against the other currency........

Did you make this happen? Oh, I doubt it. Like I said in my first post in this thread, I was tipping my hat to all who posted such Carlin memes and such. You just happened to be one who replied to me before with such a meme, then created this thread.

My state went Trump, so hey, my best efforts did just as much as your non-efforts. Maybe in 2020 I'll be posting those memes.

Speaking of which, now that we're all pretending Trump is the REAL President (watch the NY Times kiss up the minute he won), will we stop seeing Don make Pooky-Faces in every press photo?
Seriously, if there's one thing we won't miss after the election, win or lose...
