I'm pretty sure most of those who voted for Trump on the basis that he's going to lock up Clinton and get rid of corruption in the government are going to be sorely disappointed in the next four years. As with all politicians, Trump only lied about these things to get into office. Obama said the same thing, eight years ago. He ended up succumbing to the normal "flow of politics", so will Trump. He won't do anything to get Clinton locked up (they're still friends, just rivals in the race for presidency). He'll find that he doesn't have the power to end corruption in the government when he's just the president.

Trump: "but can't i at least"

That's why we filled all the other offices with Republicans.

Imprison a political opponent after gaining power? Well, the USA is one of the few countries where something so barbaric usually doesn't happen, so I wouldn't count on it. Trump tried to put a band-aid on those sentiments with his victory speech, so it already looks like he is not as depraved as most world leaders, I dare say.

Except most of the Republicans aren't too keen on Trump, either.
He'll still get resistance from Congress, that's the process for all presidents to date (regardless of their party being the dominating party in Congress).
That's still going to be the "TL;DR" version of Trump's presidency - same thing happened to Obama, ultimately.

US should go to jail for not making it any better and by no means fixing it anytime soon...

Both should.

An analysis of donors and where their support was would be revealing, methinks.

After all, it was the most establishment types who were against him.

Those who are interested not in the gravy train but doing their job as a congressman....well, those seem to be few and far between...

I dont think people appreciate what it will be like to choose from 20 healthcare providers instead of 2 or 3, come renewal time.

Here's the thing that really annoys me. People are really going after Clinton for this... why? DO you people really think that she was the only one doing this? No. The reason why people are still going on about it is they need a reason to hate her. They need someone to hate and clinton is just as good as anyone else to hate, as the Neo-conservative obstructionism started during Bill's term when the Newt was the speaker of the house, and Hillary is seen as a symbol of his administration.

Now, do I particularly care for either Clinton? Not really. But let's stop pretending that Hillary is the Symbol of "corruption" if the only thing that anyone seems to be charging her with is the use of a private email server and, as stated before, many others in the government do it as well. Was it the irresponsible? Absolutely. But I am sick of the culture of people taking a sort of perverse pleasure of finding a hate figure.

All I can say is let's weather these next four years the best we can and move on.

Well Trump was right when the media polls is rigged. Explain how else he won with this landslide victory? So he may be right on corruption in washington and FBI. So they may reopen it if they "Find new emails" winks.

Trump crushed Clinton with the electoral college vote 279 -228, but the popular vote actually was almost tied, with Hillary getting 200K more votes than Trump.

2016 Popular vote.

The huge news is that Trump had to flip Democratic States to beat Clinton, and he did, as well as win battleground states.

Trump made a pretty good speech about unity and being gracious in magnanimity. He would be a total idiot to waste the first hundred days of office to harpoon it and leave democrats scrambling, to what effect? I don't know.
